Mutes do they really works

I've been issued a mute this week for the first time in 5 years of activity, It feels wrong because i got the mute on a game that 3 person were trashtalking me i was only defending my self and being ironic i proceeded to write, I'm safe under tower or Tower is maintened Safety. My Adc told me to hug turret so did i and everything went wrong when i got tower dive 3 times by my laner, as you may think, i got everything i did in the next 40 peeled of in every mistake my team could find and to cool off i'd proceed to say Tower is Safety to people who died by my fed as fuck ennemy laner

The next game i'm doing poorly but i can't commute with my team in fear of missing out because of the 5 sentence per 10 min So what do i do i start tilting and tilting team ended up reporting me for no communication where's the middle in the case in both case i got my ass fucked by a laner a team who flamed me and i get an aftertaste of mutes. Is there a way to claim the mute is not rightly in place. or i just keep getting reported for communication ? I feel as the punishing system is not made for rehabilitation even tho that's what they claim it to be.

Having been on the receiving end of a chat restriction, it's pretty bullshit. I even started streaming to record the games for proof of bullshit. I ended up doing 300+ chat restricted games because even in games where I didn't say a word I'd still be reported for negative attitude/verbal abuse, get warnings, and get more punishments. It was only until I streamed them, screenshotted the bullshit and borderline harassed Riot support with how much I contacted them about it that I finally stopped getting them (after still having to finish them).

I mute if they're not adding anything useful, not leading or helping just flaming. When they flame often and it's directed at me, I just type____ muted and mute. The guys flaming aren't usually the ones making team decisions in my experience.
