My opinion on the new ranked system (NA/KR)

I liked the addition of Iron and Grand Master tier. Removing the 5th division for each tier was good too. But the position rank is just too much.

  1. When you get autofilled, it feels like you are just wasting time. If you only care about midlane, you will need to tryhard a full 20-40+ minutes to only get +3 LP for midlane.
  2. When you play as mid (or top), you can't swap with the top (or mid) so that you get an easier matchup because you know you will only get +3 LP for your position if you actually win the game.
  3. No one wants to swap lanes in the champ select lobby anymore.
  4. People don't have time to grind all 5 positions.
  5. The positions ranking system isn't balanced for flexible champions. Let's say a diamond top kennen player plays a game in plat because he got midlane and he decides to play kennen mid, he will carry the game because of the mechanics he has with this champion.
  6. Look at the articles you posted all year long and look at the feedback it got. A lot of people didn't want this position ranked system.

I think the ranked system should just be reverted like what it was and like what it is in regions like EUW right now.

I have no clue what the fuck the balance team is smoking but I ask myself that every year and they don't seem to fucking care.

It sounds like they have to make splashing stronger. So for example if you play mid and you get autofilled support, you still get +10/-10LP for midlane. So it's more impactful and you have to be serious about it and you can't say 'oh why care, I only lose 3 LP on my main?'
