The security of League of Legends is garbage

It doesn't make sense that the bigger MOBA in the world doesn't warn you if someone with an IP other than yours enters in your account. Then they test their hacks, bots, etc., and it is our fault because we are responsible for our account. LUL

I'm honestly surprised they don't have an option for two-factor authentication at this point.

Just follow Steam's example and send a verification code to my email if you notice a login from a new device.

Thank god it doesn't. I don't want to waste my time "confirming" its me every time I play the game on a different IP address. It drove me crazy with steam and google.

why do you care about that? just make a hard password and no one will be able to login ur account. ofc from your responsibility if someone hacked ur account, ur the one who can make a cool-long password and all done.

I kind of agree with you. Is it really that hard to set up some kind of authenticator? However, it really is not that hard to just avoid getting your account hacked. Have a password that's long and not something obvious and practice basic internet safety surfing. Don't give people your password and scan for viruses on a regular basis, and practice safe searching so you don't get viruses. Do those things and you never have to worry. That being said, I do wish there was either a mobile authenticator or at least that we'd get an email when there was sus behavior detected. The least I can ask for is an email when someone from a different state attempts to log in to my account D:

I remember when Riot's own forums became a keylogger or something for a hacker...

I actually don't know what the **** are you talking about. If you get your account "hacked" either you went on some site that they promise you RP ( from my personal experience) or you gave your password to someone. If somehow someone guesses your account username AND password then you've chosen to worst possible password and username out there. If this happens you have your email to retrieve your account which is mandatory to have right now. So again, wtf is the problem

They should do 2 step authentication via phones for people who have them and email for people who don't.

I've never been hacked and i don't use any virus protection.

Just be smart? I hate how seriously steam takes password protection. It's way too annoying.

Its bad, but nothing WOW was back in the day. Literally all of my friends and my account were hacked at least once back in the day till they finally came out with that authenticator.
