Demotions are pretty stupid
What is the point of a demotion? Wouldn't it make sense to cap the amount of league points you get? Say you get 15 LP into Bronze, Silver, Gold.. etc 4, or 3 or 2 or whatever. And lets say, circumstances beyond your control (IE your 4 other teammates) feed to absolute shit by 10 minutes and you're sitting mid at 1/0/0 until 15ish, then suddenly the suck gets brought to your lane and you end 1/8/0 because the 25 kills your team fed in 10 minutes.... well you get the idea.
Why the hell do demotions exist? Why not instead, say for every lose you have more than a win you earn less league points and lose more of them, but you don't get demoted. If you're gold 3 you should stay gold 3 no matter what and if you're not progressing then you belong there. Hell, you should even be matched with trash but you shouldn't lose your rank.
This is dog shit. 1 loss = demotion. Can someone explain this shit to me? And please don't give me a "hyuk wiot gaemz system finks ur dooing somfin wong" please don't suck riots dick, it's crusty and covered with blisters. What are the actual mechanics for demotions, what determines whether you're demoted or not?
