Why I think this game is going downhill
Not a salty thread and I'll keep it short and sweet.
I've been climbing up towards 30 now for somewhere around 3 months now, give or take. I've had a lot of fun playing normal and queued fairly often with gold/platinum/diamond players, and I even seen a challenger guy once. I could not WAIT to hit 30, and prove to myself and everyone else how good I was. Overall it was a fairly good experience up until now, with the occasional toxic players who I would mute/ignore. Some days I got feedback reports after nearly every game for other people being toxic, blows my mind haha I wasn't even 30 yet!
Anyways I hit 30 and a couple of my friends told me that the Ranked System is pretty bad. They said I would probably get a lot of trolls/feeders, but I knew how to handle them and I didn't find it affected my games much up towards this point. My ranked games went as followed: My first 3 placement games, every single lane had at least 3 deaths by 10minutes, not even joking! My 4th game went extremely pleasant and everyone worked together. And every game after that had someone who was either flaming everyone else the whole game, would intentionally feed, or would just straight up quit the game and afk. I got placed Silver 4 but optimistic as I am I thought maybe I'll climb out! The last game I played I went 6/0/0 and lost, we lost at like 22minutes cause my team surrendered 4 to 1. I did not even have a chance to try and win, despite playing nearly perfect (I'm really trying to watch my wording here, this is my first account so IDK how good I am). I can only assume that since the majority of my Ranked Games have been like this soo far, that it will only continue.
To end, if Silver 4 is truely where I belong after all, with all these toxic players who just surrender without even trying then so be it. But it has killed my momentum and it is really demotivating to not be able to be even given a chance to win a game. Read this and think of not me or you but of new players coming into the game. Do we really want them to experience the game this way? I recently watched a video before posting this about how skewed the Ranking system is, especially near the higher elos. People paying to win games, intentionally losing games to prevent people from ranking up... it sounds like Ranked isn't about skill, but more about how lucky you are with getting the winning side.
TLDR: Ranked community needs to step up the niceness factor abit, it is really impacting the experiences of new/veteran players! Sorry, abit longer than I thought so posted a TLDR! :) Thanks for reading, have a wonderful day! <3
