Blue Essence, What is it Good For?

So, the people over at Riot decided to get rid of Influence Points, or IP, in favor of converting everything into Blue Essence, a material obtained from getting rid of skins or excess champion shards or obtained in various chests or quests. They introduced the Blue Essence store for a short time and now it is gone. I thought long and hard about the use of Blue Essence, since it was supposed to replace IP and I realized something; It is the same as IP, in that is value is worth nothing. I have all the champions, skins can't be bought with Blue Essence. In fact, nothing currently in the store can be bought we Blue Essence except Rune Pages. Before the conversion to Blue Essence, IP was the exact same way, nothing could be used with it except Rune Pages. So why the conversion? Why not just keep it as Influence Points and get rid of Blue Essence? Because it looked better? I don't get it, its just as worthless as it was before. To quote War; "What is it good for? Absolutely nothing."

To be fair it is suppose to be something for to help new players. We as older players (older as in someone who owns most/all champions) basically got shafted through all of this. As of right now BE is only good for: When New Champions Release (especially since they got rid of re-rolls on champions) Upgrading Champion's Masteries and Rune Pages.

Until then since the BE store is suppose to come out once a year its best to just save it up so that another "rare" skins, or other products are release when it comes back.

If you don't have every champion, but you had a lot of IP before the switch, Blue Essence basically makes it so you have to grind again to get all of those points back. Either that or spend RP, which I believe was the main reason for the change to begin with.
