I lost LP for disconnecting in a game but I came back and helped my team win the game. What you're saying is that if I disconnect I should just sit back and not try to come back and make my team suffer and die like a fucking kid with stage 3 cancer.

Yeah if you're disconnected or idle for more than 3 minutes, there's no point in coming back. You don't get credit for the win. Just go next.
You still left your team at a disadvantage and you really hurt the chances of winning. Their ability to carry without you long enough for you to reconnect doesn't mean you deserve any credit for that.
Furthermore, if they did give credit, it'd make people think it's okay to leave as long as you come back.

Pretty sure the advisor isn't listening to what you're saying at all. What the fuck is the point of reconnecting if you automatically lose LP? Doesn't make any sense to me lol. If they leaave repeatedly then they should be punished. If it's the occasional wifi disconnect for 10 minutes, I don't think it deserves an LP loss.
