Vasilli got taken in by the police for beating his girlfriend. * r/leagueoflegends

He beat his gf on stream then continued to play afterwards... If that doesn't cross moral boundries for riot, but flaming and toxicity does all hope is lost. I can guarantee you this isn't the first time he's done it either, its just the first time he's been caught. So please don't respond with that "well this is the first time he's done it" bull ish . Vasilli's even smashed down a camera and trashed the set in a tourney before http://www.clickon.co/117/watch-chinese-ad-carry-vasilii-ragequits-and-smashes-up-studio/ smashed up is old teams house, and rage quits constantly even in competitive play... Like how is he allowed to still play professionally and stream? I think a permaban is overdue.

I know it's only been a day but this isn't the type of thing that should be waited on.

Assuming that he did everything that we assume he did. He should recieve a competative ban and probably a ban from streaming. Riot should not ban people for being shitty human beings unless its in game.

Its already official he's banned from competitive play. http://www.lolesports.com/en_US/articles/suspension-li-vasilii-wei-jun

Banned from streaming absolutely. That's clearly against the rules and should never happen. Banned from playing the game, not too sure about that.

Stuff like that is out of Riot's control. They really shouldn't be the one punishing people for actions outside of the game. That is up to his team.

This dude's smashed computers before and goes apeshit all the time, if Tyler1 is permaban material I think Vasilli definitely should be since he's not just trolling, he's actually abusing and threatening people.

things that happen out of game have nothing to do with in game behavior

No one knows if he actually hit her or not. If your question is should he be banned for something that wasnt in game? Probably not, thats the police's job not riot's.

it happened outside of a game, so I don't think it justifies an in-game ban. However, it absolutely does justify banning him from competitive play.

-1. If he actually beat his girlfriend, I hope he will get what he deserved which is lock up in jail and pay some fine. -2. I have better shit to do in my life other than wasting time to care if some stranger get banned in a fucking video game or not. -3.I ran a red light 3 months ago, riot should've banned me, learn how to separate video game from reality kiddo. -Mods/Wardens, how is this witch hunt of a thread still up and running?

That's how I imagine every flaming Vayne player.

IAintDarius10/27/2017, 11:07:24 PM6 votes

He already ruined his IRL life.

Myrmiron10/27/2017, 7:53:00 PM5 votes

Edit 4: Vasilli's girlfriend posted on Weibo stating that he did not hit her, but only threw a big tantrum.

At least read the entire thread if you link it and stop being such a massive white knight.

Handy Sandy 10/27/2017, 9:30:49 PM5 votes

did he do anything against the rules in-game though? Banning someone because they did something outside of league isn't punishable.

Not trying to be a dick, but this is a problem in his personal life and is unrelated to LoL.

Voted "no" for reasons stated on the first page, but it astounds me that it's jut over 3:1 for permabanning him in game.

This is almost exactly what happened with Riot Sanjuro. He is banned from competitive play, has a police record with plenty of evidence to support the crime regardless of what his girlfriend said, and is likely banned from streaming as well. Does an in-game permaban REALLY need to be put on top of how much his life has already been NATURALLY damaged by his own actions?

Good lord, why is everyone out to get the next guy? Why does everyone NEED to shred to confetti the life someone has? If it's not mass stupidity in this world, it's the mass hostility. Why do I keep finding more reasons to lose faith in humanity?

He didn't actually hit her, she just claimed to. She should be in fucking jail for attempting achieving in ruining the man's life. Stay single and this won't happen to you.

Jerry SeinfeId10/28/2017, 5:48:22 PM4 votes

He shouldn't be banned, even if he killed someone. It has nothing to do with the game, nowhere in the ToS does it state you can't beat someone up. The police should intervene though. Domestic abuse is not something Riot has or should have authority over.

A competitive ban should happen just for smashing up a studio.

General Esdeath 10/28/2017, 4:55:20 AM4 votes

Only reason I'd say no over the beating of his gf is because it opens the gates for Tencent/Riot to ban anyone with any record, and in Korea they use your SSN so it's possible. However, he should have been banned form pro play long long ago.

Zëd Lęppelin10/28/2017, 11:02:14 AM4 votes

Yeah domestic abuse, but did he say some bad language words? -Riot 2k17 when they don't ban him.

Akaash10/28/2017, 12:46:42 AM3 votes

Wasn't XJ9 permabanned because he posted his GFs nudes for playing lee sin?

I could see him getting permabanned for domestic violence.

BURN THE WITCH!!!! BURN HER I SAY!!!!!

Seriously though he may be a douche bag, but wtf is banning going to do? I mean sure, you can probably look into his account and more than likely find some reason to perma ban the guy but it's really not going to contribute anything to resolve the issue at this point.

Jet Sett10/28/2017, 2:32:35 AM2 votes

I'd generally say no, but because this incident can be directly correlated to League (his tantrum was over a League game) I'd say until he gets some degree of help he should be banned permanently. The same way you'd stop a guy from drinking alcohol if he went into a rage every time he drank too much, you limit it or just straight up remove it until they can be responsible with it, not in the scenario of addiction, but an inability to be responsible with it.
