Looking for Toxic Players

I was listening to a podcast about people on social media collectively destroying people's lives over relatively insignificant things the victims had said. Upon hearing this I was wondering, have any of you ever been the toxic person in the game that absolutely rags on that one teammate who missed his ultimate and died and cost the game... but felt bad about it later? I'd like to hear of some experiences of toxic players who felt bad later about something they have said to someone they know they shouldn't of.

Yep, I did. I was too fed as Vlad in toplane, I gave that Riven the worst experience ever, literally torture in toplane. Anyway, I saw that my Yasuo in midlane wasn't doing great so I told him to switch with me. We did and he was literally going afk and coming back, Riven got fed by him because he was walking to the lane, tries to farm and than goes afk, Riven gone the point that she can literally Q W AA R to get a kill on me. I kept flaming him and he kept apologizing but I just kept going in, the whole team was flaming him, I literally gone rage mode since it was my promo to gold in another account and he ruined it, I gone full trash human mode (Saying everything in my head), and he kept apologizing every time he comes back. The game ended, I lost my promos and just kept playing normally. About 2 weeks later, I got a friend request from that player. I accepted him and started writing a nice paragraph to send and block him. I finished typing, and before pressing "send", I got a paragraph from him saying that his mother had health problems that time and he was taking care of her. He told me that she passed out after that game. I felt bad, but I asked him why did he add me, and I got chocked that he just wanted to apologies to me because it was my promo. I felt the worst feeling in my life, anger and embarrassment and sadness... idk how to describe it. I couldn't do anything, I wished that the ground opens to take me somewhere at that moment. I tried to apologies but I couldn't do anything. Even when writing this I wish that I didn't say anything to him. Anyway, he told me that he'll just stop playing the game and he blocked me. What I got from that situation :

  • Never flame a random dude, not worth it, even if he goes afk, maybe his mother is sick? You don't even want to get the feeling I'm having while remembering that
  • Having dreams about being the dude and being flamed while being in his situation, which put me in depression for 2 months
  • Stopped playing as a carry and moved to playing support (I don't remember why, I just left Vladimir and moved into Pyke and Thresh)

I hope this helps

im that one player that missed that fucking malphite ult in the last game of a best of 3 clash game where we won 2 games already (masters elo), granted my entire team wasn't doing so good but that malph ult could have turned the game around, was an absolutely horrible feeling that i still can't live down, i would willingly take all the flame for that one mistake (this isn't related but still haunts me to this day)

If i'm on like my 5th support that day that's hiding behind me doing nothing and getting me destroyed in lane by causing a 1v2 situation I will say something along the lines of "man this 2v1 is rough" or "I need you to do something other than stand behind me afk"

depending how they respond is how that's gonna go, and you know how 99%+ respond to being called out for being a lazy POS

If they say nothing and we win - I feel bad and apologize and explain, but generally they report anyway because why forgive when you know how easy it is to get a guaranteed report popup after game

if they apologize - i immediately feel bad and realize I may actually be able to communicate with this human being (less than 1 in a 100 players) and will actually try to work with them - and will not flame them again for any reason other than if they start flaming (which doesn't happen)
