Does anyone actually object to players being able to buy event prestige skins with Prestige Points?

So I've wanted Prestige K/DA Akali and Kai'sa for the longest time now. Only to hear:

These changes won't retroactively apply to Event Prestige skins released during 2018 and 2019. Players who unlocked those skins did so with the expectation that event tokens would be the only way to get them, and we wanted to respect those players' investments.

Does anyone who grinded for an event skin actually object to people who missed the events- because they were busy with other commitments such as school or work, or maybe just didn't even know the game existed yet- buying the skins using Prestige Points?

As someone who bought kitty kat katarina when it was exclusive, no i do not care if other people have it, so the same principle needs apply to prestige skins as well. And i feel that RIOT has realized this with the changes going forward.

Why they think that people who bought the prestige skins for 2018-19 deserve respect more then the people who bought the holiday skins in 2011-12 is beyond me.

I really don't care. I got KDA kaisa from the event tokens, but i really can care less if someone wants to buy the same skin for 100 prestige points. Like It honestly doesnt matter to me.. it's just a skin lol.

I have no problem with it although I dislike the whole prestige system for this, and other, reasons. I know I'm probably in the minority there though so I will say that if you had something happen where you couldn't get the skin despite working for it and having enough to get it, then you should be given a chance to get it.

they are meant to be exclusives lol, so no there won't be overlap on how they can be achieved.

I really think we should be able to get them. Some people can't sit and grind events so they will miss out on certain skins. I just want lux man lol

Personally, I'm Kai'Sa/Vayne main. I was so disappointed when I saw that post. I couldn't really play the time when Kai was released and that's the skin I'd really like to get.

It's also kinda frustrating for me that Ahri/Aatrox etc. mains can get their skin any time and meanwhile I cannot.

I think that Riot should let all of the Prestige skins be bought for the Prestige Tokens, this shouldn't be a year-only exclusive skins. People who manage to buy them while the specific event lasts should get the borders as well, people who purchase later for various reasons should still get the opportunity to get it but without the border. At least this minor thing would give the "on time" players a bit of extra flair, without actually impacting the "exclusivity" of said Prestige skins.

That being said, getting 100 PP is a task of in itself and it takes a lot of grinding. Per event specific shop, 2k tokens is 100 PP, 2.2k Tokens is the event's exclusive Prestige Skin variation. Those 200 extra tokens are for the Border anyway. People who just want a Prestige Skin for 100 PP should be able to get it, regardless if it's this year's or last year's skin.

Im thinking of the prestige skins as stuff like Rusty Blitzcrank, Black Alistar, or Young Ryze. You get them or you dont. Thats that

considering i'm still not allowed to get riot squad singed in any way yeah people do seem to have issues with exclusives coming back.

Either that or at the end all prestige skins could come back and be obtainable thought points like before, so same grind, same price, no one can complain
