Just an Idea
Hey guys. Just wanted to point out I think alot of the recent changes in league are NOT backwards or completely wrong, I think they are implementing the right changes the wrong way. LOL seems like it is at a point in its life where the devs are trying to find its identity and it is hard becuase the game is very complex and very popular. So first off, I am not flaming anyone and not pointing fingers. This community seems to have an extremely toxic attitude and I don't think it is justified even with some pretty bad updates to the game. The solution is to find a 'solution' instead of pointing fingers and freaking out.
Anyways, I think this game has suffered from a massive mobility creep and damage creep, and it's kind of like this erupting volcano that rito is trying to fix while also not completely breaking the game. Here is my solution to that. A great deal of toxicity here seems to be cause by players feeling like they have no control over the game, or like any single patch could completely break theyre character and make them either usless or OP. The reason that is is becuase the game has essentially been reduced to incredibly heavy handed stat fights between champions where a single ability will make or break a fight, a fight almost always leads to a kill in a very short amount of time. IMO this is the exact reason why outplays are only common on extremely mobile champs that can dodge alot of these death sentence cc abilities. My suggestion is to give every champion a much higher amount of base health or resistances, which make it so that:
Fights usually do not lead to a kill! Poke is much more important and objectives are also much more important!
Outplay potential is possible for more heroes than just high mobility ones ( help fix mobility creep)
Fights will involve more decision making. Your stats will do less for you, Champion stats will mean less, balance changes will be less harsh.
Backing and teleport will mean more, flashes will likely not be required every game.
Players who only play for kills will not be as successful. It will refocus players on playing a team game, or at least an objective focused game for big leads.
Assasins role will shift from putting all their eggs into one basket in the early game and going feast or famine into a role that is adept at securing kills on opponents.
There will be a lot less damage creep because champions will have additional avenues to have an effect on fights without having to deal ridiculous damage or have massive game-changing abilities. (Idk how the hell rito is planning to keep adding new characters at this rate. I imagine they are pulling their hair out thinking about it.)
Every champion will still have their same effect on the game: only the severity of these champions effect will be reduced, leading to more competitive and less instant-murder gameplay.
Maybe somewhere around a 50% to 100% increase to all champions base health.
Also, I am still thinking about if it should be a health increase or a base armor and mr increase. Let me know what you guys think below and please be nice. I am only trying to help everyone because I love this game and I see alot of potential.
