Creating a guide for new players [Come help!]

Now, before you look at this account, this is my Boards/Fun account, not my main :)

With that out of the way, hey there, I'm Foxe! A pretty decent player that's been around for a while and I feel like I have enough experience to help new people get a grasp of the game. I'll be writing a complete guide to the base of the game and some advanced knowledge (lane control, jungler tracking, etc.) in this text.

Not really here to hear your opinions, I'm rather here to see what you people think I should add, be it tips, tricks or anything that even I wouldn't know. Keep in mind this is a guide for new players so specific matchups, champion guides won't be in this, but if you want to change the format, feel free to leave a comment, I will most likely read them all, the good and the bad. Here are thing I place on covering: [P.S. I will only be covering Summoner's Rift for now, other game modes will be added if this shows success (Twisted Tree Lines, Howling Abyss, Nexus Blitz, etc.)]

  • Introduction

  • Index

  • Chapter 1 (Bases):

  • The Map
  • Game Phases / Lane Roles
  • Champion types
  • Item building
  • Basic introduction to stats and CC
  • Minions
  • Basic Laning
  • The Jungle and the river (ward introduction, ft. scuttle crab)
  • Roaming and ganking
  • Objectives (Tower, inhibitor, nexus, etc.)
  • Dragon, Rift Herald & Baron Nashor
  • Team Fighting
  • Chapter 2 (Advanced):
  • Advanced Laning (Lane control)
  • Reading your opponent
  • Team synergy/Behaviour
  • Baiting the enemy
  • Timing/Routing the jungle
  • Tracking the enemy jungler
  • Counter Jungling
  • Pushing Strategies
  • Conclusion
  • Credits

That's all I have for now, leave a good comment and you'll be mentioned in the credits :) Hope I get lots of input and support, I'll put lots of effort into this and I would love to get a bit of help, be it giving ideas, writing or drawing (due to copyright issues, I will not risk implementing any public pictures) Thanks again! 1. Consider the possibility, if you are able, to put out a YouTube series; covering each aspect of the guide in a short video, around 15-30min tops. This way players can see what you are talking about in action, as reading only has partial impact.

  2. The Item Builds needs to be spilt up. That is a very broad topic. 2a) Starter Item Builds; What should I be buying for each role? 2b) Suggested Items; Do I build this, or go off book? 2c) Counter Building; How do I build against an enemy champion/build? [Advanced] 2d) Itemization; Is this good for my champion?

  3. A proper section for Warding. You seem to only loosely cover it in The Jungle section, but so many new players either don't ward or don't ward correctly.

  4. Adding in a topic concerning Playing Safe/Defending. Again I am unsure if this is something that will be covered in either of the Laning areas but requires attention.

  5. A section covering when to Recall back to base. I have seen so many players die to enemy champions because they are low health and just want to "poke" or "get that last bit of gold".

  6. A section covering basic and advanced League Terminology that players might see in game frequently.

  7. A section on Spilt Pushing. [Advanced]

  8. A section covering Counter Picking Champions. [Advanced]

  9. A section covering the champion meta. [Advanced]

  10. Safe Champion Picks that work well/easy to learn for new players. [Basic]
