Can we make picking meme champs in lane a bannable offense?

Is personal MMR a thing in that we don't have to win games to get a boost in MMR, but just do good personally? Getting sick of getting matched with people who wanna play Soraka jungle, Lee sin support, Teemo jg, Kha'zix top etc. I want to have non meme games where people actually try to do well. These people feed, throw the game and I lose a good chunk of LP because of it.

I do well personally as my stats will confirm, I feel I belong in a higher elo but can't push past because someone is always feeding like a MF. How do you guys break through gold (I know this is trivial for some people but it's clearly not for me, do you just get lucky and not get trolled by your own team)

I have a friend who literally wins Plat ranked games as Soraka Jungle.

Edit: Also there was a dude who hit Challenger with Teemo Jungle. Repeatedly.

While those people are indeed twats and should be punished, they're not preventing you from climbing. Unless you're one of the people doing it the enemy team is more likely to have one of those people than your team. With that said, you should probably dodge when you do run into those people. You get punished for dodging, but the penalty for the first dodge each day is minimal and much less than the punishment for losing. Yeah, you shouldn't have to take a punishment for the actions of others, but what should be isn't relevant to what is.

Ofc i'm not against doing stupid things in normals, never have been never will be. But I don't believe ranked to be the place for it, everyone should be playing at 110% and giving it their all in ranked with meta champs in lanes they belong. Am I the only one who feels this way...?
