Yea its got a really wide hitbox. It doesn't have a further hitbox from the visual for some reason but it is very easy to clip it to a wall. Also the hitbox is on the ground because elevation in league is actually a thing. So even though it looks like you're shooting it up, you're actually shooting it straight forward on the ground since the visual is elevated (if there's a shadow effect go by that.). If you ever seen a nid spear or blitz hook look like it landed or missed from this same angle, thats because the game's camera isn't properly telling you the actual hit detection.
