I'm talking about silence, if he cheats stuns with the ult that's fine. One or the other being immune is OK in my books. Not both- even though as others have stated the whole coding of silences is fishy fishy anyways lol. (Garen vs Trynd is what I've been dealing with a lot lately on some of my other accounts, hence why I brought this up)
he has to do SOMETHING
because if he couldn't do it while CC'd tryndamere would become the worst champion in league of legends
why can garen still spin while stunned
because he would be a troll pick if he couldnt
Because unlike other invulnerability ults, his only works when you're about to die.
I understand that he should be a able to use it while Stunned but, a Silence is something where you don't get to cast abilities. I think it's fine with every other form of CC aside from Silence. If you are silenced you shouldn't be able to use any ability until it is over- period. Way more stuns in the game then silences - choose one lol!

Because he's a squishy, and there's a few silences that last for considerably long amounts of time, Much longer than it would be needed to burst him down.
And you wouldn't want him to be unable to get his damage off because of OP CC Bots
So he doesn't just become 'push lanes and feed' the champion
can he? i think it's a timing issue.
Those 5 seconds of forcing your team to CC him or walk away from him while he does nothing are an intrinsic part of his kit. Imagine how underpowered he would be if he wasn't able to provide those 5 extra seconds of distraction.
He and Heimer can both always ult
