What characters do you want to see added? So far we have 1 of the 5 DLC characters announced for smash bros ultimate. I personally am hoping for Banjo Kazooie so that (hopefully) Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie can come to the switch as virtual console.
I recently finished unlocking all of the characters in Smash with my friends so this is fresh on my mind... kinda. I've always wanted to see Geno, Jeff, and Poo since Super Smash Bros. Melee, but that was way before Nintendo kicked open the gates and allowed any console video game character under the sun to hop on in. I'd like to see any of the following join the roster:
The Commander would be like Pokemon Trainer and command a group composed of Assault, Heavy, and Support class soldiers.

Let's see... I'd like to see Punished Snake with a different moveset than Solid Snake. His MGS5 CQC for normals, Fulton for up special and if the target is asleep and you're close enough, it'll Fulton them instead; Tranq Dart for neutral special (that requires at least three hits within some seconds of the last hit to put targets to sleep), among some other differences that make him unique from Snake.
These aren't my PERSONAL most wanted characters, but I think, as far as 3rd parties are concerned, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro are strong options
btw what are you guys favorite universe for smash (I mean where are most of your favorite from)?
My favorite universe is fire emblem, since ike, robin, and corrin are my favorites. I also like inkling and ness a lot.
Nintendo doesn't give a sh*t what we want. They've proven that by giving Geno fans the middle finger like 3 games in a row now. Don't bother posting on any boards/forums telling Nintendo what you want. They won't listen.
I really want to see Knuckles (always find him nice since I was a youngster and for the bruddas imitation) and Waluigi (since all the memes and the guy deserve it), Crash Bandicoot, Boo (they can do cool tricks with him I bet) and Daruk from Breath of the Wild (gorons are awesome) with maybe a combinations of Hyrule Champions as the Pokemon Trainer !
Hershel Layton because why not (need level 5 stuff in smash^^) Banjo and Kazooie, it's about time they came back home after the horrible treatment they had on xbox console
Also, one of the Lost kingdoms heroine with a bunch of transformation/invocation could actually make a solid character even if it's a very niche game
on a side note, if they could add more assist trophies, a surgeon from the trauma center serie would make more sense there than as a playable character
Sylux from Metroid is basically confirmed right now. He has no Spirit despite being one of the very, very few MAIN characters of the series and he’s gonna be a huge part of prime 4 after already appearing in 3 metroid games, more than any other character in the series bar ridley and dark samus.

And for those asking for characters like Geno, Mega Man X, Zero, Isaac, Waluigi, etc.: They're not coming, stop. Nintendo, after announcing Joker, said that the DLC characters are from series that have no connection to Smash at all right now. All of those characters are already in the game as Spirits or Assist Trophies.

tbh I don't know who I want now. with how many guest characters are here and characters I would've never thought could get in (ahem joker im looking at you) I cant think of anybody. the only people I would really ewant that I could name off the top of my head is someone from an anime but pretty sure daddy sakurai said they need to originate from a game. maybe a mortal combat character like scorpion or sub zero
This is the order as of now Sans Undertale (Partially for the meme partially because I'm a degenerate) Blaziken (Pokemon) Hector (Fire Emblem, yeah Fire Emblem is one of my favorite series there are too many fucking sword fighting lords from it in smash. Hector is a beefy boi with a huge fuckin axe) Banjo Kazooie Zero (Megaman) Bomberman
My heart fucking shattered when that direct showed Zero, Bomberman, Issac, and someone else as assist trophies.
Personally I wanted Isaac but we're probably not gonna get him now that due to people wanting him to be in the game as a fighter, they go and do the exact opposite and make him a damn trophy. A trophy that just constantly uses Move and that's it...That's not even an Isaac specific thing. I mean I GUESS it was Venus Psynergy, but he basically acts like a lot of other things in the games that already do what he does for the most part.
As for other characters, Shadow, Knuckles, or Tails I really would have appreciated, but oh well.
One other thing I would PERSONALLY appreciate isn't so much a character as it is custom abilities back. I loved the custom abilities system and Megaman just doesn't feel the same without Tornado Hold(It also fit into his very core as a character for Smash, considering his entire schtick is learning abilities from the enemies he has defeated in the past, he should be more customizable at the very least). The custom abilities system made the game for me feel much better, because you could play the same character over and over again, and they could always be different. I'm sad they removed it, and personally a little pissed that the feature didn't stay in the series.

I'd say Bass would most likely be Mega's echo, but heavier. X would be like Adult Link to Young Link.
To be fair, Bass plays much differently than Megaman in all games he is playable. He can jump twice(although all characters can do that in Smash, I suppose he could get 3 jumps?). His buster is rapid fire, locks him in place, and can be shot in every direction(He also cannot use charge attacks), not only 3 pellets with a charge shot, he can also dash jump, like X could(and Megaman cannot do this as he slides on the ground). His Smash would be combining him with Treble most likely and flying around. He'd also likely get moves from Megaman and Bass, rather than all across the games. This would mean he'd likely get things like Spread Drill, Ice Wall, and Remote Mine. His up special would likely be similar to Megaman but due to the nature of his appearances, it wouldn't be right to make him anything like Megaman, with the exception of Treble launching him up, unless they used him combining with Treble as his up special instead of his final smash. It'd be interesting to see him using Ice Wall to push people off stages though. Might be a bit OP at the same time however, lol.
