Legacy LoL Servers

I'm sure this has been brought up before, but I'm wondering if Riot has have ever considered releasing game modes of earlier League of Legends patches, bringing back older game states (items, stats, champion designs, etc.). I think it would be fun/interesting to "go back in time" to an earlier state of league regardless of balancing - the only difference being the improved/optimized graphics of the game we know and love today.
