Played Support, Lost LP for Bottom?

So I just lost LP for my Bottom ranking in a game where I was actually the Support.

In my most recent game, a person in my pre-game lobby forgot to trade with our bottom laner. They apologized immediately after entering the game, but that didn't stop my bottom laner from instantly saying "open bot" and intentionally feeding every lane. Ironically, I won bot lane 1v2 as Zyra, but of course could not overcome the intentional feeding of my teammate. It was frustrating, but I just figured I would send a report and go on my way.

However, when I arrived in the post-game lobby, I realized that the game had counted as a Bottom game for me, even though I both queued as a Support and built out my starting Support item. I was actually glad (since I am trying to climb with Support as my main role), but it seemed very odd to me... Why would such a thing occur?

I can't say for sure, since I don't know how Riot's system works. I think it may be because you (likely) CS'd quite a bit since you were the only player from your team in bot lane so it assumed you were in the bot lane carry position?

That may not be working as intended. And seems exploitable. The system did not recognized your ADC as ADC? So basically the ADC was not playing his position nor main role, and the system selected YOU as the Bot? You won the Lane but not the game, so it splashed to your ADC role? Ok. this is baffling.
