Diamond's of League... how did you feel once you won your Platinum series and becoming Diamond?

As a gold player trying to climb out of solo queue to become diamond (and Challenger), I'm curious to know about your story of you guys becoming diamond for the first time. How did it make you feel? Do you look back and thought of all the obstacles you had to endure and overcome and say it was worth it? What are your future plans after?

I made a pizza in celebration

one of my happier days for sure, and a feeling of personal accomplishment

Didn't care that much since I was already playing with a 70-80% winrate from silver and hit diamond 1 for the first time a week or two later. GD called me boosted though.

Felt like a god, basked in my glory, realized I was in the top 1% of players in this game, then came down from my high after realizing just how massively different the gap between Diamond 5 and even like Diamond 2 is, I have no hope of reaching Diamond 1 with my current mechanics skills.

going from silver to gold was harder for me the first time than going plat to d5(which im hardstuck in forever). when i did first get it it was kind of surreal but kind of like whatever also. there is no real reward the game is just kind of fun and a great time killer while im waiting to die of old age

First time I hit Diamond was season 3. But season 2 I broke top 1000 (which was like 2050 elo in plat) so reaching diamond was kinda a downgrade. And even when I was D1 in season 4 it wasn't as high as I reached in season 2.

Diamond hasn't ever felt like an accomplishment, it's a chore that establishes dominance over the truly unskilled. I work full time and can still hit diamond consistently.

It doesn't feel like much on an accomplishment. Tbh I felt more relieved.

No one really cares lol all it means is that I play the game too much XD Anyone can be diamond

its nice to look back and see my improvement, but I still want to climb further. The grind continues :P

What I basically did was play annie/amumu etc. in low elo, then as I climbed, my champ pool got smaller and smaller. I didnt play a whole lot of ranked, I played tons of normals with friends, and always tried to improve on knowledge/mechanics. So I had good winrates for teh most part when I played ranked. Only bumps I had were demotions in silver 3, and gold 3. Took a few promos to finally hit d5.

At first optimistic that I might finally get some decent teammates and people that have an understanding of the basics of the game.

Then I actually played in diamond.
