Why not just remove rune pages at this point?

Since we can edit runes on the fly in match lobby now.

I mean it made sense when you could not edit them in the game lobby. You needed a bunch of varied rune pages for the potential matchups and champions you own. The rigidity of the old system was THE justification for making people spend money (or ip) on rune pages. Now that you can just edit them pre-game... why not just drop the old system? Rune pages now are simply convenient. In the past you had to have the right page before you queued up.

The rune page concept is pretty lame for what is in effect masteries.

Now a new player would look at rune pages and wonder why he even needs one.

"Hey maybe it would be cool to not have to set my runes every game, lets check in the store here... 6300BE hmmm... do I want (insert 6300be champ here or combo of cheaper champs) or a SINGLE setup for runes..."

Why even have something like that in the store?

They are WAY less important now than they were. They are just as expensive as before.

Why were they not just added to the rune refund?

Was it possible to remove runes but not the pages because the pages could have been bought with RP (Real money) where as runes you can argue that IP boosts (Real money) gave people the IP (not whatever they happened to buy with the IP)?

At this time I would not buy extra rune pages with the current system in place.

What is Rito Games projecting their rune page income to be in the next while? Why even keep them?

Edit: I'm just saying they should have refunded rune pages and let us save the masteries instead of click. 20 free pages (like masteries which were editable pregame) and be done with rune pages all together. I actually don't understand why you would want people to have to buy rune pages today to have the same convenience that you do if you had them already. We can pocket the BE and everyone gets the same amount of preset pages. When it was runes it was what it was but now its just greed.

Why give everyone all the runes but make it purposefully inconvenient to use them? That doesn't sound like its to the players benefit!

Some people like to have premade pages ready for them in champ select. We were able to edit mastery pages in champ select for a while there, and I know I didn't delete all my pages so I could just redo one over and over.

I'm probably not going to buy any more pages, but that's because I already had more rune pages than I needed in the previous system.

There's no reason to keep them since we can edit them

But there's no reason to get rid of them.

People like me, And a handful of others, Tend to have like one or two for certain characters that have found "Sweet spots" In builds, And dont wanna change those pages.

You're telling me you didn't keep multiple mastery pages so you could quickly flip to what you want on a champ? What a waste of effort, to have to remake mastery pages every game. I won't be buying any more rune pages, but that's because I already had plenty from the old system.
