How much of an impact does Demoting in Preseason have on your MMR?

Unfortunate loss streaks happen to everyone, but it doesn't carry as much weight during Preseason. But I still wonder; How much of an impact does a demotion in preseason have on your MMR for when the next season starts? I ended off as Gold 2 during season 8 and demoted twice down to Gold 4 during this preseason with no traction of getting back up. How much of an impact might this have? Am I somewhat safe, or did I completely screw myself over for next season?

it shouldn't same was season 7 mmr wont affect season8 and season 8 wont effect season 9 ans so on

Gold 2 to gold 4 won't make a big impact.

But if you hard int and go from diamond to silver then you're going to get placed low.
