Remove surrender from ranked Q

Ranked queue is where you have come to test your mettle and give it your all. Surrender is something out of place in this arena. Its like you're going to the superbowl; Oh except you can at any moment get scared and decide to run with your tail between your legs.

In every game there is winning and losing. Surrender takes out the healthy experience of loss. There are good defeats and bad defeats but everyone one of them teaches you whether you like it or not. A lot of negativity in league is from people being stressed out. Not learning to lose gracefully only adds to this negativity. Also there are plenty of mechanics within the game that actually reward tenacious plays. You get to see none of those when you cut down your games.

Now life happens and people have to go or whatever. After all ranked is not LCS so perhaps allow one surrender a day when IRL requires people to leave early or you are about to get hit by a hurricane or the like.

I would join the queue with surrender. I'm going to try and win every game, but when I sit down to play I'm there to play for a while, not just one or two games. If I start to tilt and my team is losing morale I feel it's better for everyone to just cut our losses early. Sure we could stick it out and maybe win, but I'll be in worse shape for my next game as a result.

Remove the, "No" vote from surrender is more like it.

Surrender should at least require some additional conditions, defeatism runs too strongly in bad players.

I see a large number of games that could easily be won thrown when a team decides their late-game comp is hopelessly (3 kills) behind at 15 and forfeits.

Removing surrender is like saying you'd rather spend 50mins in a game that you know you're losing. If anything make it close if it gets two no's.

I'd join the proper queue.

I wonder if this discussion is reflective of the whole community.

Seems like people don't want to play even matches. They just want to fight the game where they get ahead by chance. Of course riot wants us to play those even games and hence forces us to fight even games.

Is this the source of elo hell?
