To all those who AFK seeking attention and is butt hurt

I'm actually surprisingly tolerant to "feeders" because I understand everyone has bad games. It happens.

But people who just quit, give up, and sit in base all because someone said something slightly offensive, or because they disagree with something they argued in chat. Those people- sometimes grown up men, who suddenly become babies wanting attention. Yep can't deal with them. Single-handedly lost two free games where we were really ahead. Guess what, those two games were in two separate promos.

First game of promos I, feeding lanes(the meme is alive) easy loss. **Second game of promos I, one dude decides to sit in base because he's mad. Automatic loss. **

First game of promos II, all lanes lost hard (at this point I expect this to happen) easy loss. **Second game of promos II, one dude decides to sit in base because he got into an argument with bot lane about warding and calling mia. Automatic loss. **

It's so hard to stop these people from arguing. Telling them to stop arguing and focus on the game gets ignored. These people somehow legitimize and justify the act of AFKing in base all because their pride, ego, emotions are triggered/offended. If you are one of those people who are reading this, **GO FUCK YOURSELVES. LITERALLY, CLOSE YOUR INTERNET BROWSER, LOG OFF OF YOUR PC, GET OUT, -removed by moderation- **

I used to feel the same way, but as I get older and (more aptly) as I lose my passion for this game daily, I find that most games are decided by 10-16 minutes. If people don't want to surrender and they wish to engage in the practice of time-vampiring then I have to decide whether or not a video game is worth the personal stress or not.

The very first time I ever sat in the fountain was just a couple of months ago... I had an intentional feeder on the team and I just decided that it wasn't worth it to put in the effort.

The number of games I've played recently is very few (only 6 in the last 7 days and three of those were on the same day) and in one of them I was playing support and our lane did fine, sadly mid had lost an obviously bad matchup as did top... our jungle was doing the smart thing and camping bot with us, but in the current state of League you are only as good as your weakest link----which means our 0/7 mid laner with 51 farm at 13 minutes (in low-plat Elo) had already made this game fait accompli.

So, 15 minutes comes, four of us decide to surrender, but the 0/7 mid-laner says "nah, I got this". At that point I had to chose between getting worked up over a video game or alt-tabbing to listen to some music. Guess which one won out? I wasn't the only one that made this choice either, all four of us decided we weren't going to participate in this shit-storm.

I play video games for relaxation and enjoyment, when a game begins to feel like a job, I don't play it anymore, period. Maybe that's part of the reason I have lost passion for this game... I work enough as it is. If you're wondering, I received no punishment for what I did as the enemy team very quickly marched into the base and ended the game in spite of our one hold out.

It's a game people, you can be as filled with righteous indignation as you want, but we all have our priorities and getting stressed about a game that's clearly a loss is not one of them for me. Say "fuck you" all you want, wish whatever disease you want on me, feel however you like, but one day you'll likely feel the same way I do.

The fact that you open this with "GO FUCK YOURSELVES" makes me think you might be part of the reason these people AFK. While AFKing is bad, I also don't see any reason to applaud the bully.

what do you mean? if you really harassing me or insulting me in game i will 100% go afk. i don't play to get offend, harassment or insult, you don't know me to insult me at the first place. if you are complaining its np, if you are feeding like there is no tomorrow its np for me, i dont play ranked anyway. but if you are going to flame, insult others you better stop playing this game cause your gonna get banned anyway.

Yea...those surrender votes have become more toxic than some of the actual players. Gotta be able to adjust and adapt...losing one team fight or drag/objective is no reason to throw in the towel. "Oops I got an F on my exam...I better drop out of school. Oops missed that free throw I'm done with basketball forever...". I wish there was a way to instill fight and determination into teammates...instead...as the OP said it turns into people not having the drive and passion to better themselves through hardwork and collaboration...just give up and roll over. =/ It saddens me. I've lived through countless steamrolls to only come back and win...and ive been part of countless steamrolls to only throw harder than Randy Johnson in the 2001 world series.

League is a game of mental fortitude...and if you don't believe me...look at the OP. A lot of immature people in this game who want to not try at all when things aren't going their way or when they have to work a little bit. shrugs Definitely seems to be a trend ive noticed in life...kinda scary.

My advice is to stop taking ranked so serious. There really is very little reason to want to rank up besides your own desire. You are not getting paid to ranked up. You won't be an LCS "star". So why not just relax and try to enjoy playing the game.

It's not only their fault. While I agree that AFKing ruins the game for everyone, as there is no LP or time refund, if someone says anything very triggering, you should have the right to close your PC and calm down, especially if it means you don't flame anyone back. Of course, the AFK also could've muted the toxic people, which is why they still have to take some responsibility. It's very rare to see people use the mute button, which can help de-tilt. Anyways, let's say the AFK was told something very offensive, and they just had to have a specific type of trauma that relates to the insult. Although rare, it still happens, and they should be allowed to calm down. If someone is autistic and someone tells them they're autistic, and the person had been bullied for years about it, they should not have to play with a bully.

I will be honest whit you OP i used to do that not happy whit it but i did that, i just got up from my chair and said "Nope im not doing this.", and like that i went afk theses day tho i just alt f4 on the spot if one of my lanes going 0 5 0 and blaming someone else. Just alt f4...... i dont remember the day when i didnt have a low p que cuz im keep leaving games AND SHT im raging or aynthing.

Just putting my sht together putting it in a nice big bag called "alt f4" putting it togehter.......

When its 14-1 at 15 min and they out scale your team, the game is over. When you hit surrender and 4/5 people vote yes. Your being held hostage by 1 retard/troll. When you havent taken any towers and only have ur open nexus up and 2 people decide to not surrender.....fuck those guys. I understand how if the game is actually winable then dont afk. But i have seen games in multiple regions where if its a complete stomp the losing team will all afk in base to end it faster.

Riot needs to Put measures in place. In normals People who surrender more are matched together with other people who surrender (people who press the yes surrender button not people who press no or ignore the button but still lose due to surrender) In ranked you need to lose more LP for surrendering than if you played the game and lost.

I agree with you, nothing I hate more than quitters and I've said it before and will say it again, I want the surrender button either taken out of the game, or I want it to require a unanimous vote. It is never fair when the one player who keeps his cool and wants to keep playing will lose LP when the team surrenders and the nexus randomly explodes for no reason. I am often that guy, I will refuse the surrender every time, and I'd say about 50% of the time we actually end up winning those games that my teammates wanted to ff.

People are weak, I don't know what else to say. They break under even a little emotional pressure. That's why I just hit the mute button and encourage others to do the same.

CHAT IS THE HARDEST FORM OF CC.

Might not take you long to type one small sentence. But then you do that a few times and it adds up, by the end of the game you've probably spent like a minute typing. It also "CC's" your teammates because most of the time they will reply. If nothing else it's just a distraction and the only time chat should ever be opened is to suggest a strategic plan or to encourage people. I would also say to give praise, but I hate receiving praise in game because it goes straight to my head and puts pressure on me to impress more and I just start playing like a monkey xD
