Suggestion For Key Fragments

Let's preface this with: I'm bad, I know that, but a lot of people probably play like me, so hear me out.

I generally switch from one champ at a time to another, essentially one-tricking for months at a time and then moving to something else. I've gone through Malph, Voli, Vlad, etc. Right now I'm on an Akali kick. What this means is that I almost never get chests. I get the S on whatever I'm playing a lot of, and then just keep playing that. I'm fine with the fact that I'm not playing the way the crafting system intends, that doesn't bother me, and I'm not complaining about getting few chests.

What does bother me is that I'm consistently getting key fragments I can't do anything with. Right now I have 15 unused keys. I would love an opportunity to turn key fragments into something other than additional keys. A small amount of blue or orange essence (50?) would make me feel like I wasn't just wasting my effort and getting nothing from the honor reward key fragments.

tldr: I have lots of keys, and want to turn key fragments into essence instead of more useless keys.
