My Experience with Preparations for the Rollout of Clash

Some of my friends on Latin America North wanted me to play with them in Clash. I spent the last two weeks practicing in flex queue, scrims, and duoing with my ADC almost every day. I practiced Spanish whenever I had free time to make communication easier for everyone else. I had not had a Spanish lesson in my entire life, but I started to teach myself Spanish, and I can now comprehend about 60% of what I read, though I still can't understand much of what I hear. And now, after weeks of treating League like a second job and all of us making sure we could play this weekend Riot tells us, "LUL, it was just a prank, bro!"

I've had about 8 hours of free time that didn't end up dedicated to prepping for Clash. This sucks. And you know what? It doesn't even suck the most for me. That poor husband and wife who were going to play Clash as the last thing they could do together before the guy got deployed, man. My brother and his wife are both marines, and I didn't get to see them for three years last time, so that one really resonated with me.

I was pretty pissed about the server failures that occurred during the beta test, that Riot specifically claimed they were prepared for, "But everything just kind of fell over anyway."

I read the hundreds of comments telling people like me to fuck off with our negative opinions because, "The beta wasn't for you to play Clash. It was so Riot could fix any bugs it had and make it perfect."

Well, you had your chance to make it work, screw making it perfect, with Riot's outstanding list of colossal failures, nobody was expecting something perfect. Sadly, the small indie company that is Riot has failed - again.

Honestly this whole situation is just kinda screwed up on Riots part. They have done multiple server maintenances over this week to set up for clash. (one of which was an emergency unscheduled one a big red flag there) and on top of that they knew at least this morning when it was canceled in other regions that it wasn't going to work, but they wait until almost the last possible moment to cancel it.

They need to man up and make a detailed post explaining what happened and then try to find a way to make it right for the players that planned their weekend around playing clash.
