Get rid of everything on your PC from the avast supply chain, if you have any

CCleaner, avast antivirus, avast SafePrice, avast passwords, everything

CCleaner was hacked and used as malware distribution a month or so ago and I forgot to get it off my laptop until recently. Running a COMODO "clean endpoint" scan and it's found 14 rootkits only 50% into the scan.. on the laptop I use for only college work.

It'll take a long time for me to trust that supply chain again. Previously my favorite security suite, now I'm wary of using anything from the parent company.
