Real question, though.

What can assassins do better than Annie? Assassins just got reworked to more damage over a longer period of time.

But Annie gets to 100-0 everyone every 5 minutes or when she gets protobelt.

Sooo, how was giving assassins less burst time better than keeping champs like Annie with excess power?

They tend to have vastly more mobility, often have a longer effective engage range (and even ability range), and tend to duel better. They often kill towers better, split push much better, and outplay much more effectively.

Annie is the quintessential, short ranged, burst mage. But she pays for that with some rather glaring weaknesses.

Which have been remedied by the fact she has short enough cool downs and can buy protobelt to faux-flash into people. Her Q, while shorter range for a spell, is long enough to prevent anyone from getting close enough to deal meaningful damage. She is and always will be someone you can't ever get within 900+ range of, which, is quite ridiculous.

I hate her. I will always hate her. Her design isn't even a complete thought. Brand is the real fire mage and Yorick is the real summoner. She's an awful champ inside and out. I wish they'd just remake her completely. No matter what they add to show her stun, she'll always be a hold the stun and flash. That isn't teaching anyone basic combos for other champions. It makes you do nothing all the time until someone else screws up.

She's horribly unfun. Might as well be an AP version of Zed. UN FUN.
