Asking Riot to revisit the New Item Set Tool

Hello, I am a summoner who found the Item Set Tool in the old client to be an extremely useful tool that I utilized for almost every single champion that I played. I found that when I was playing a champion with which I had little experience on, it helped to think out their Items before I started the game and place Core and Situational Items into respective categories so I didn't have to spend extra time in the fountain thinking these things through or typing into the Search bar in shop to find something not found on the recommended page. Everything I needed was right there, in the shop without having to waste any precious time looking for any particular item. It felt like unloading a conscious mental task into a mechanical tool that allowed me to focus just a bit more on the actual play and as a result, play better.

Now to why the New Item Set Tool fails to do the same thing. It is simply because you can only make 20 Items sets MAX. This is compared to the Old Item Set Tool which, as far as I could tell, allowed INFINITE Item Sets. I'm sure there was a fixed number, and it was not infinite, but in terms of practicality, I had over 75 Item Sets made on the Old Item Set Tool and was still able to make more, so the Old MAX was obviously much higher. With over 130 Champions in League of Legends and the ability to make Item Set Pages for only 20 of them, this extreme limitation seems very odd. I am no longer able to make these Item Sets for each new champion I add to my pool like I previously was able to do. You could say I now should just make Item sets for classes of champions that share similar items and yet why am I forced to make this choice when previously I did not have to? Why does it feel like a new, updated version of an Old Tool has more limited functionality? It feels as if no progress has been made with this New Item Set Tool and, in fact, the quality of the Item Set Tool has regressed.

I ask that Riot simply Revisits the New Item Set Tool and raise the maximum number of Items Sets that you are able to create. If a cap must be set, At least allow for half the Total number of Champions. That being said, an Item Set for each Champion seems like the most logical choice to me. Ultimately, it should be clear that 20 is a laughably low number for the Maximum number of Item Sets available and I hope that Riot can see this too, as well as understand why Items Sets are so important to some players.

They also managed to make the screen feel more cluttered while removing information (in the old client, if you clicked on an item you could see from what it was built and what it could be built into).

Wait, they seriously screwed this up?

They already had a working design and just had to reimplement it.

Just, how?

If there is any cap, I will be extremely unhappy. I had over 250 item sets on the old client, if I can't update them all that just feels bad. I have just started to use the new item set so I haven't fixed up 20 yet and can't personally confirm if this is true, but it certainly would be if it is. It would be like saying: "Hey, those hours of work you put into making item sets? Yeah, you're going to watch that work slowly become irrelevant and there's nothing you can do about it, but you can have some item sets now, so its k"

Also anyone else having lag/ freezing client from new item set tool?(why I started looking through these)

I don't understand their logic when it comes to this. They said they listened to the forums and found out that the item set tool was used more than they originally thought. So they pushed ahead and gave it to us earlier than expected. However, it's as if they are passive aggressive about it and didn't actually want us to have it so they gave us a RIDICULOUS small cap on what we can do. Not everyone builds, plays, or enjoys the champs the same way as another. I like to use boots of Ionia on Irelia where others like the grieves or mercury treads. It really makes no sense. They would rather make us group up the champs as classes to try and duplicate said builds for a general amount of champs. How cheap..

They probably rushed it out quick so that people who used the item set wouldn't complain endlessly until they added it back in. It's either this or waiting another two months for the creator to come out.

Tbh I always hated the old item set creator in the old client. So unintuitive that you had to drag each individual item into the slot instead of just clicking to make it go. It just felt so slow and bad to use, and the lack of a way to set skill orders or download any guides on the internet with it was just appalling, at least as someone who played dota before getting into lol, it was just way more convenient for learning new champions and builds as a noobie. Sure once you get better at the game, you learn that skill orders are something that's really easy, and you can just look up builds on sites like op.gg or champion.gg, but as a noobie, I didn't know about that shit. Mobafire was all I had.

Yall asshats spend all your time bitching about the item set maker when riot has stated multiple times that they were gonna bring it back once the client switch was fully complete, and then you're surprised when you get a barebones version of it to shut yall up for two minutes. Newsflash, from someone who spent a couple years learning UI coding, this shit takes time, and plenty of it. Chances are it'll get an update to raise the number of item sets sometime in the future. For now just be happy with what they rushed for you.
