you actually are right. Those are bruisers not tanks. Bruiser is a hybrid between a tank and a fighter. But the thing is right now there is no difference between tankiness of a tank and tankiness of a bruiser due to build paths. Thats what the rant is all about.

except these characters are actually not that tanky at all and they only build tank because if they don't they get blown up buy the assassins. I mean, if you compare them to a champion with actual tank steroids and scalings, or meaningful shields, like nautilus, alistar, trundle, maokai, dr mundo, volibear, you realize that they aren't that tanky, and they aren't actually tanks. btw tanks are meant to not die to assassins, because you know, they dont want to die, and thats why they build tank.

We get it, Armor pen sucks now. You can blame ADCs for that, if they hadn't been abusing it they never would have nerfed it like they did

There is a huge difference in the difference between the tankiness of a tank and the tankiness of a fighter. Rushing item 3071 or item 1400 is not going to give you as much tankiness as item 1401 item 3068 or item 3065 .

A pure tank has around 5000 health and 200 armor/MR.

A bruiser off-tank has around 3500 health and 100 armor/MR.

You don't have to jungle as an assassin. You don't even have to middle or top lane solo as an assassin. You can go bottom lane and get a babysitter lane partner. I think it'll suck though if your lane partner isn't a pure support and is instead a tank or mage. Might depend on the synergy.
