Forgeting to take Smite, Post ideas on how to fix this

I know some of you are thinking, dude you have 60 seconds to change summoners, but we all know, some queues just don't go how we planned. Then we have the 10 seconds after champion select, but still, in some of my games, junglers forget to take smite. This used to not be a big problem, it would just mean slow clear time and high risk of baron/dragon steals, but now if a jungler forgets smite, they can't even take jungle items. Which is why I think Riot should come up for a way to better solve this issue in season 5.

My idea is that, at the beginning of the game, when the barrier is up at the shop, you should be allowed to change summoner spells. This is just a broad idea with a lot a room to revise on(like some players might take Flash+Teleport top in champ select and then go Revive+Teleport when they join game), but hopefully it'll lead to less forgotten smites or less consequences.

Another idea I have is, let jungler items be available to every player again, so at least a jungler without smite can still jungle.

My last idea, is that Riot just has like a reminder pop up in Champion Select that reminds the team to grab smite when it detects when no one has selected smite after 30 seconds.

These are my ideas to fix this problem, feel free to list other solutions.

I wouldn't do it how you mentioned with the shop thing, because it shows you who has what spells on both teams at the load screen. Let's say your mid laner is going up against someone with Flash and Teleport, then all of a sudden they swap teleport for ignite. Your mid lane isn't expecting that, and ends up dying. It's not a fair thing, to be honest.

However, the other two ideas seem like a fair deal to everyone.

My personal idea is to have something like the item sets that you can make in your profile, only instead make one for spells. Like, set it up for that if you take Fiddlesticks (or whoever you jungle as) it will automatically give you Smite and whatever else you want by default in champ select, rather than whatever you used last. If while in champion select, lets say you decide to go Shyvana top, it would automatically swap your spells to teleport/flash or whatnot if you had them preset.

Move summoner spell selection from champ select to the in-game shop, and show the selected spells just like items. If you screw up in the shop you can still exchange before leaving the pad.

It really matters not whether your summoners are known at load time. In fact, it would add a little mystery to some roles like jungler and support.

Your idea has a little merit but herein lies the problem: Riot isn't about to spend money on a programmer to implement this feature.
