But in all seriousness, Irelia's main powerspike comes with getting . This is the item you want to rush first and almost always rush first unless you absolutely need a defensive item to survive the laning phase. I personally prefer rushing sheen first, but you can also build Phage first for the extra health. Her standard in lane combo is to Q to a low health minion for the reset, E (AA if you have sheen), W (best if it stuns), AA, AA, walk away or Q to a low health melee minion.

Usually you want to max W for the extra in-lane sustain and true damage. If you find that you need to play defensively, you can also max E first for the longer stun. Max E/W second and Q last. Take a point in R when possible.

Start flask and pots, into trin and then you can either chose to build full tank or build a few more offensive items. Spirit Visage and Randuin's are almost must buys. Irelia synergizes extremely well with attack speed because it allows her to get more W procs off. For boots, usually you want tenacity boots for the passive synergy. If the enemy team doesn't have a lot of CC and is very AA reliant, you can build Tabis. If your really head and want more offensive stats, you can go Berserker's Greaves for the extra AS.

Outside the laning phase your job is to jump on the squishy and assassinate them. Irelia has no escape, which is why you need to build tanky. You can weave AAs between each charge of your ult for a spellblade proc (This should be the main use of your ult asides from clearing large minion waves when needed. Never use your ult as ranged poke unless your finishing someone off as it doesn't do all that much damage and is mildly hard to land). Lategame, where you fall off slightly, your job will come down to peeling for your adc with your E.

dont just spam your ult blades, u can proc sheen off of every blade, thats 4 procs on 1 skill.

try to auto attack and then walk in front of the enemy as they run, it shows how pro u are, and lessens the chance of them escaping.
