Serious talk : Twisted Fate
Hello im DecimuSS , high elo TF main and I'm here with you to talk about his current state offer tips and suggestion of improving what can be improved gameplay vise :)
So lets start with his profile : What people are misunderstanding quite a lot is the fact that TF IS NOT your classic Mage . Yes he has wave clear but what he lacks is damage . He CANT go toe to toe with meta Mages . They will crush him in trades anytime, they will outscale him anytime , so what does he have that makes him mitigate that ?
His passive alowes him to go equal or even beat his lane opponent in terms of gold gathered through csing , that bonus gold really comes in handy when clearing raptors (sorry Lee im sure you needed that gold , kappa :^) ) which is one of the reasons why you want to do that everytime its possible . His Q is great way to cs under the high pressure of certain lanes And his R is basically what makes or breaks him
Onto the why he isnt such a rewarding pick and why people avoid playing him nowadays : Point of a mid laner is :
- To gather gold quickly and transition it in great deal of power mid and late game
- To roam and help those who are in need due to the fact that they can roam anywhere , and do the roam quickly
About the point number 1 : Yes you'll have large amount of gold in your pockets , yes you will buy items but what stops you from making those 1 shots are your miserable range . Your source to secure your dmg is W and with its puny AA range , you'll have tough time landing comboes w/o risking your life . Usually you will find yourself getting 100-0 by some random Syndras R while you're trying to get that precious Golden card onto her or her allies . After this you will reconsider staying in lane and farming 24/7 right ? (tho reality is , you wont even be able to do that if the enemy knows what to do) .
Now lets consider point number 2 : Its your go to plan , its what you will be doing since lvl 6 and even pre 6 if opportunities come up . Its what you're are made for .
Question rises , why would i limit myself like this when i can just lock in that 
... get that damage and roam ?
"But mister , TF is such an easy champion to play , you press R ,you lock in un-missable stun and make picks easily."
Yes lad , part of it is true , you could do that . What happens when you fail at it ? What happens when they read your gank ? When jungler is expecting it , when he sits in that bot river bush waiting for it ? Answer is you are most likely going to waste that ult w/o tping in , putting it on long CD time and rely on your feet to do the roaming :-/ This , and numerous other things , is why TF in general isnt your go-to mid laner . He isnt easy to play (might be a little bias but most of you will agree :P ) , just because that macro game he requires .
Now i dont want to disrespect players in lower Leagues but you might find this exaggerated since level of awereness there is close to none when it comes to TF pick potential.
Hope i cleared some air around this character and brought him closer to you guys . Now we can discuss what we can change on him , just to make him more appealing to the audience . IMHO i think he is well balanced and been so over many many patches , props to Rito on that [slayer-pantheon-thumbs] . Now about tweaks , i would personally like to add :
- Auto Attack reset on his 2nd W cast so people can dish a bit more damage , pop W , AA , W again for inta card throw :)
- Or make it so his 2nd W can proc Sheen also (w/e AA reset ofc , doe would be sweet :P )
