Okay so me and a friend were having a argument who's more viable, mages or assassins.

Assassins are more do or die. Mages can do poor but still be useful. So if the assassin doesn't do well, then the mage is the more viable one.
Theyre both equally viable... At different stages of the game and in different situations.
