Things that shouldnt happen:
Queueing into a team of diamonds in normals. https://puu.sh/yolU1.png
No. Fix it. Give them longer queues for normals I don't care. Why should i be the punching bag for players better than me?

Your MMR must just be that high then. They are all Diamond 5 and most likely have Platinum MMRs and your team has a plat and a D5 as well with probably higher MMRs.
This doesn't seem too farfetched at all.
as a d4 player(this is smurf) I kind of want to calm the circle jerk on matchmaking in general.
there is no doubt that you should be being paired with people around your skill level whenever possible, but to say "oh wow I'm vs all diamond" means an auto loss is just a bad mentality for League of Legends.
You don't know if those d5 players are playing off roles, trying new builds/champs, etc.
Sure they will likely have way better macro but to assume the game is going to make you a punching bag is silly. I think people should take more opportunities to learn from their games against better players.
There was a game I had awhile back when I was a mere Gold 2 player. I was against a Master Tier player. and I was so nervous. I was like HOLY SHIT HE'S MASTER. I ended up stomping him in lane because he was in off role and I was an adc main. He had no idea how to play his champion because he was first timing it.
I doubt you will ever get high elo try hards in normals and if you do just shrug it off. thta almost never happens to me. If they do kick your ass you can learn from it my guy. rather than be like "wow im outmatched" why not say "wow HOW is this guy beating me so hard" and then you have a literal example right in front of you of how someone is better than you.
Again, I do think matchmaking should try its best to pair you with someone close to you, but in normals where rank doesnt matter I don't think it should wait 15 to 20 minutes for a game that doesn't mean anything just because of matchmaking quality.
very next game. 2 diamonds.
I dont want to see diamond players until im playing ranked and am at MINIMUM plat 3. Which i doubt will EVER happen. Riot seriously.
That's a normal game. MMr in normal game isn't indexed on MMr of ranked matches.
Even diamond players have to practice somwhere. They might suck with X champion they're playing and are looking to get better.
if you don't play ranked games
why would it be acceptable for you to play against silvers ?
You have no rank to base you on, thus there is legit no difference in you playing against a diamond or a bronze, because you can't compare your skill level. and that are your arguments, not mine. Just push your logic till the end :D
I like when I get into games with people much higher elo than me, especially if I'm laning against them. I go in expecting to lose, and use it as a learning game. Watch what they do, what how they outplay me, because chances are they will. Can I get the drop? What can I do to make that happen, was I successful?
This is how you get better. You don't get better playing against people of the same skill level, or worse than you. You get better far quicker playing against people who are better than you. The trick however is to have the humility to realize they are better, and not just "their champ" or some other bs reason, and learn from them.
who cares about normals?
Their matchmaking is totally absurd since ages. Check the actual number of balanced matches in everyone's match history. They keep saying "Evrything fine, don't worry". And it just keeps going worse :P Good job!
who cares? if i get matched with diamond players, i just play against diamond players.... its normals if you lose its whatever. Also chances are this happens to you like ever few dozen games, just get over it losing isn't gonna kill you.
Normals MMR I believe is separate from Ranked MMR, matchmaking requirements aren't as strict, and MMR is often vastly different from rank.
Since you're in norms, my guess is that these guys got to Diamond, then promptly came to normals and stopped giving a shit.
I can top that:
Their team: Diamond 5 Platinum 5 Diamond 4 Platinum 5 Diamond 4
Our team: Level 30 Level 30 Platinum 5 Diamond 2 Gold 5 (me)
So if you climb to 2200 MMR in normal queue are you still going to expect to play vs gold players? Imagine if you went into ranked and crushed a bronze placement game, and that player op.gg you and see that you are high MMR in normals. How would that be any different?
Welcome to Normals. Riot doesn't give a single fuck about this game mode. The MMR system is dog shit trash and needs to be RESET EVERY SEASON. For this god damn reason...
higher mmr ppl try considerably less in normals than lower mmr ppl making the match "fair" in a sense.
I see you and i raise you my flex queue game http://imgur.com/sVlLQgI
i had this lv 38 tryhard in my last match .. where does he find the will to even play this game ?
Diamond 5 is not diamond
This and getting stuck with a 4 man crew that doesn't ping missing for you when you're top lane is fucking disgusting too...
Atleast you didn't face Master division enemy as unranked.
At least balance out the diamonds... Recently, I've had a lot of extremely unbalanced games where players are clearly not even close in skill. When queue pops in 45 seconds however...
