Varus is in desperate need
I was just thinking that Varus is in serious need of a buff I mean since when should someones ult be weaker than another champions Q take morgana for example Q - Dark binding Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 Mana Range: 1175 "rooting the first enemy hit for 2/2.25/2.5/2.75/3 seconds and dealing 80/135/190/245/300 (+90% Ability Power) magic damage" Varus for a comparison. Chain of Corruption Cost: 100 Mana Range: 1100 deals 150/250/350 (+100% Ability Power) magic damage and immobilizes the first enemy champion hit for 2 seconds. Yes it goes though minions as well as spreads but just looking at the difference I think I would rather have morganas Q as varus ult than how it stands
now dont get me wrong Varus is my favorite champion but he is sooo underpowered his only truly great skill is his Q. I suggest buffing his ult by 1 of 3 ways some may be overpowered i havent thought that far
- Make his ult scale with AD This would make up for the terribly weak power of his ult considering most people use him AD anyways and would most likely make him viable in ranked play however this may make him a bit too over powered
- Enhance the speed of his ult by a large percent this is a small but very effective buff that makes his ult not able to simply walk away from, most champions have nigh inescapable ultimates so this shouldnt be too much to ask.
- increase duration of ult to 3 seconds to the first target hit and keep infected targets at 2 seconds this would make up for the weak power as well as give time to actually do what you need to to make the kill considering his ult mostly is for rooting one person at a time anyways.
Other things they could do to buff Varus instead is to simply allow his E to continue the slow for a second or 2 when they leave the area of impact, increase his overall attack speed to that of vayne and ashe, or best of all (even though most unlikely) get rid of his AOE slow in favor of a better escape mechanic.
