There's a reason that Sightstone is considered so essential. Other classes need their core stats more than supports, so the support is charged with warding because getting a Sightstone barely hurts them. Vision is essential, without it nobody can step 5 feet without being bursted by an assassin or skirmisher.
If you don't buy Sightstone, can you please at least get a support starting item like Relic Shield or Spellthief's Edge? Without one, You'll be level 14 and barely on your third item while everyone else is buying elixir. That is, if your team hasn't lost by then, which would be somewhat miraculous.
