But once in a while you get that guy that genuinely doesn't seem to understand that saying something horribly offensive in a public environment can have actual consequences. That distinct lack of common sense and reasonable judgement scares me more than anything else. Just imagine that those same people could very well be out there right now operating heavy machinery, piloting airplanes, owning firearms, or voting for public office.
Don't get me wrong, anyone can make a bad decision once in a while. However, there's no denying that some people seem like a powder keg just waiting for a spark.

Also over the internet where you are anonymous people are empowered to say things they wouldn't in a public setting, the only ones you would need to worry about are people with serious anger management issues.

Back when my account was flagged, I got a 2 week time ban, 50 game chat ban, and 20 game ranked restriction for saying "gg afk" (note: I literally said nothing else for the remainder of the game, and I didn't actually afk).

I UNDERSTAND THIS SO MUCH, My friend was banned for doing something he didn't do, he's really bad, and was banned for "cheating" when there was no evidence to it, and when he posts in forums people get all shitty about it, and hate on him when he's genuinely innocent, i don't know if he's posted here yet but his name is shadowstarthe1st

They also play the victim in every possible case in order to ensure that as many people as possible get banned, but that's a different discussion.

Im prepared for the hate comments, i just wish riot would be more open to the fact that they can make mistakes on bans too, and fix that stuff I hate the "Guilty until proven innocent" approach and with the tribunal gone it's almost like their a dictatorship and their word is law and never changing now, because all they have to do is ban and say its justified and they don't have to do anything else even as unfair as that is, as riots the judge, jury and executioner

They aren't though, like, not at all. In fact, when someone does bring a false ban to their attention, it takes a solid week at least (and hundreds of upvotes/comments) for a Rioter to even start looking into it. If you need more proof of Riot not being open about their mistakes, take look at how they've handled DQ all season.
Zhire1 votesWell, sometime Riot are affirmative in their decisions but that doesn't necessarily mean they're right. For example when they falsely banned someone because the person had a similar name as the person who they actually intended to ban. It was something like person A (innocent) had the name Killua with two L's but person B (offender) had the name KiIIa with two i's. As for DQ, at least they brought back solo queue after they realize DQ wasn't working.

But DQ never worked and it's been obvious it hasn't been working since before they even announced it, and they are only addressing that now, and even still, they aren't actually admitted that the mistake was theirs. They keep placing blame on individual players that abused the system instead of on themselves for creating it in the first place.

Shadowstarthe1st1 votesI actually had said problem but not for being toxic, and apparently many friends of mine have as well, where we've all spent more than 900$ on the game and then we'd get banned for no reason under the pretense of hacking or using third party programs and wouldn't tell me what program, and i knew i had pretty much nothing but Chrome, Skype, and League installed on my computer, and my match history just in it self proves im shit, and that if i was hacking or using cheats that at the very least id be doing well every game even if the out come was a loss, which wasn't the case, as i actually was the one feeding most games(Not on purpose of course), i accepted my ban and thanked them for the game i love and cherish, as i had a lot of fun playing, i understood that they can't trust my word alone that "I didn't do it" because many people most likely lie and say they didn't do it, but there wasn't really any way for me to prove im not a hacker/cheater other than my word, unless i recorded every game i ever played. and even then they could still call me a hacker, I was told that i will never get my account back or a refund for any reason, even though they didn't provide any evidence i was guilty of being a cheater other than "We know you did it, and we arn't repealing it", how does this help me when im told by support to ask for a repeal? I can even post the riot support ticket if not believed,, ive always tried my hardest to be nice and understanding to those who spend just as much time as me in the same game and lose or for the winning team or for that one guy who goes 0/11 in lane because i was that guy at one point
