WHY IS S9 SO HARD?!!

so s8 i reached plat 4 with mainly ryze mid or top. i wouldn't say i main a lane because i like to play all, as of now i play adc. i understand you will lose games and its inevitable, but i have this frustration this season where i just cant seem to finish a game when i have a lead due to other enemy sides being more fed than i am OR just having a bad duo lane matchup and having to play safe all early game until we get sht on by a 4 man gank and the game is lost without even having a chance. i feel this season you HAVE TO WIN LANE early game and snowball, if not its basically 50/50 chance you will win unless your like me and stay getting 0/5 jglers. jg in my opinion impacts the games like never before this season, like holy fk. if u get a sht one, more than likely all your lanes well lose. please tell me what i need to improve on because at this point i feel like its not even skill, its just a sht ton of unlucky with matchmaking. im barely over gold 4 like wtfffff.

There are a lot of factors.

  1. Riots MMR Sytem is fuked up. Even now after the merging of Position Rank its fuked up.
  2. Bounty Gold is fuked up. I had a game where I killed the Zed who had a 450 gold bounty and his Ignite killed me and I gave HIM a 450 gold bounty. like WTF?!
  3. Smurfs are all over the place
  4. Scripters are coming back. Im seeing a lot more then at the start of the season.
  5. Riot playing favorites on champs letting some OP stay for patch after patch.

Too much bullshit in the game. Can't ban all broken fucks. Too many of them. 0/11 yasuo can carry because he is yasuo. Vayne is the same. Many champions disregard powerspikes and are powerful in every part of the game. Early mid and late. It doesn't matter if u play well if he gets stronger over time and then wrecks everybody 1v9.

The game is broken and success has nothing to do with skill.

Basically either play a FOTM hyper-carry, or accept the fact that you don't matter and RIOT doesn't give two shts about you.

Whatever the reasons for your struggling is, Im reading alot of my team sucks in your post. It starts with you, look in the mirror and point the finger at ur damn self, try to get better. Maybe the fact that your playing a different role and champion explains alot, or maybe due to meta shifts, or maybe you were never as good as you thought you were.

Riots matchmaking is completely fucked up this season. And no I am not talking about positional matchmaking. It isn't even active in Europe. I have Smurfs vs unranked in >60-70% of my games.

I was plat last 3 seasons. Playing from almost the beta days. Now I failed 3 times promos for plat. Support main. Check this out Blaxonec-op-gg. ACE , ACE , MVP , MVP and so on. I am kinda more skilled than gold players but somehow still in gold. I find it really easy to play in this elo. Sometimes I receive a hard beating there by people who are obviously much much better than me, but somehow they are there too. I think its something with older accounts. Its not just MMR, its like they track your exp in the game and the older the account is the harder it is. Because when you lose someone else is winning, when you fall down the rankings someone else is climbing. So when the queue is gathering players for a match it looks for similar MMR values but also for account age and then it happens like this Team 1: Total MMR 10 500 + 3 old players Team 2: Total MMR 11 000 + 1 old player

I just think the system rounds the MMR to compensate the difference between the teams in terms of total games played because if player 1 is having 2000 MR and player 2 have 2000 MMR but player 1 have 2500 games behind him while player 2 have only 400 then player 1 will be more likely to win it.

Its just a guess. But somehow new account climbs easier.

In order to climb, you can't simply just not feed your lane and play conservatively. You have to press an advantage through either crushing your lane opponent and carrying that advantage to other lanes or out macroing your opponents when it comes to objectives like towers and correctly setting up a wave to slow push when your team needs you to contest something.

A couple things: 1: you basically said that if you lose early game, you still have a 50 chance of winning. That's basically like saying that win or lose early game, your chances of winning are the same and aren't impacted at all by early game over the long run of many games. This logic is flawed and actually counters the entire point of your post, so I'd recommend an edit. 2: While things are still too early game oriented, and many things need fixing, this season is a little healthier than last. I've almost as many 35+ minute games as I had all last year, and the new conquerors isn't quite as oppressive overall, which combined with jungle changes, has allowed certain tanks to come back into meta. Adcs as a whole don't appear to be too broken or too weak with the exception of some outliers (vayne, jinx, Lucian, Kai, ez too strong) and not quite as many super broken bruisers running around

Most games get just unwinnable for one side because jungler keeps ganking aftet ganking in this shit meta. Considering you or another lane doesn't get massively ahead and can handle the difference.

FSRER3/15/2019, 12:38:38 PM1 votes

Jungle used to impact and still does impact the most BUT they realised it...and when riot realises that something is broken (me being lvl 2 at top and getting ganked by a lvl 3 lee) they gut it. Their excuse? That all junglers had more early power than they needed it and it was partially true especially for the adc junglers (Quinn Twitch Graves) who were able to have both sustain to lvl up and stay in jungle and enough damage to gank. But what they did by nerfing the jgl exp? They made every.single.tank.jungler. USE L ESS. And what they did to try and balance? they nerfed the ad fighters like XinZhao (who was left gutted since patch 8.4) in order for them to be useless alongside tanks BUT they left assassins with the exception of Shaco who was buffed at 8.6 just to be nerfed at 8.7

Now at jungle we see assassins and maybe a sejuani every now and then.

I agree with your comment that jg + hard winning lane almost always guarantees the win. I started playing around with xerath support bot, poking like crazy and forcing people out of lane, and i found that winning bot lane, especially if jg came bot only once, i won 68% of those games (about 20 of them). I know this is a small sample size, but it seems significant. Its really hard to win a game where more than one lane lost laning phase.

Maybe you're too negative and dont question yourself at all ? Ya'all seems to say that you deserve higher rank than you have, well start carrying or not feeding (at least) your games ?

I'm currently D3 with 85% winrate on the last 20 games and i'm not even a smurf or a hard carrier, just play your games and try your best

feintfiend3/16/2019, 2:26:56 AM1 votes

Really? Climbing seems much easier now I was hardstuck in silver 1 last season which was my first season and this season I placed silver 3 and climbed to gold 2 pretty easily, hoping to hit plat this month [sg-ezreal] Silver 1 was so much harder to escape than gold

Ben SwoIo3/16/2019, 2:33:54 AM1 votes

I don't know but I HATE this season. I feel like a lot less skilled players are climbing due to this bull shit damage. I get ahead many times only to have two - three other team mates feed their asses off. Uncarryable. That or people tilt and just cry cry cry. Shit just gets old and its frustrating watching my laner who is inferior, get the win. Sick of it. Sick of my low win percentage. This is definitely the worst season by far. Feels like there's no strategy to this game anymore.

Because in s8 is was team with most s tier wins. And in s9 it’s even more so.
