Streamline champ-selection bans

Bans are notoriously booooring to sit through and most of the time, it is the same champs getting banned over and over. Allowing the player to preselect champs to ban in the lobby could help: The game will automatically ban champions where possible, speeding up the process.

In the lobby, John Doe chooses the lanes he hopes to fill, and can also set three possible bans in order of priority. For example: Yasuo, Fiora, LeeSin. Yasuo is highest priority while Lee Sin is lowest.

When the bans begin, the game will automatically ban champions where possible:

NOTE: If the player would rather ban during champion selection, the ban-list from the lobby can be left blank.

If John is first to ban, Yasuo automatically gets banned, as Yasuo has highest ban priority. If Yasuo has already been banned by another player, then Fiora gets banned automatically, as she has next highest priority. If the Yasuo, Fiora and Lee Sin have already all been banned , then the player can select one from the list of champions in the way we do now.

In recap (if the player decides to use automatic bans): Choose your lane. Choose three champs you hope to see banned, in order of priority. Let the system manage the ban for you.

This is a terrific suggestion. Your example is 2/3rds of what I would use if this ever got implemented. Draft pick already feels bad especially when someone dodges. Sometimes you get 10 minute queue times for the game that is sometimes decided by 10 minutes.

With this strategy, I would just be worried about what would happen if say, I wanted to play Kindred, and then one of my teammates has Kindred as their first ban. Would I just get screwed? Would we also be able to pick a champ to play, and then that is protected? Because then that takes away from the teamwork aspect of the pick/ban phase because everybody is just playing whatever they want with no thought as to team comp (which admittedly does still happen especially in lower elos, but this would compound the problem)
