Confused on this S Victory Crap...

So I was just playing Twisted Fate Mid, and at the end of the game I was like "Sweet, just earned a chest from this S victory." Little did I know, I got an A and this other guy on my team got an S+ with worse stats then me. I DO NOT understand this at all, and I find it to be complete crap how the game decides your score. I had 22/5/14, and he had 14/5/16. Does someone mind explaining if I'm just stupid or if I should've gotten that S victory? It's not that big of a deal, but it's been happening A LOT.

it compares you to other people playing the same champion. If tons of people go 10/2/4 then you need to do the same or better to get an S, if the average is 1/5/2 then you would not need to do nearly as well.

it's easier to get an S on a less popular champion since the average KDA/wards/CS ect tend to be lower from what I heard anyways.

Not enough information. There is a lot more to it than KDA. Like your CS relative to game duration, wards placed relative to game duration, kill participation, objective participation, and your overall stats in relation to other people that played the champion. There are probably other factors, Riot just isn't saying.

Wait so I just read Leagues page on how they calculate score. It says they take in where you're playong the champion. So, for example, if I played Tristana top (which I've never seen before) and went 2/2/2 wouldnt that give me an S+ because compared to people who have played tristana top it is good?
