From diamond V to plat I? is it possible?

so I got to diamond v recently, I knew there is a shield for 5 losses, I lost 2, won 1, and today I lost 1 again so I am now on 0 lp. if I lose again, which of coz I don't want to because the end of season rewards are very close, will I drop to plat 1 ? I tried to look up my mmr in some website it says the average MMR in division i located is 1947, and mine is 1992

yes, its possible, realistically no. in order for you to leave diamond 5 your MMR has to fall below plat 5 level into gold 1, then you would drop down to plat 1, and you would quickly begin losing major LP amounts per loss and gain little per win.

even if your MMR drops when you're in diamond 5, if you continue to play at say for example, at the plat 2 level, you would stay in diamond 5 but you would just be grouped with plat 2 players most of the time. with ofc some variation in ranks for the sake of match speed.

you won't drop from the 5th rank of any division to the 1st of the past division unless your MMR is about an entire division below or something similar. You really need to have a stupidly long losing streak in order for you to drop
