Walking over Cait's Traps with Morgana's Black Shield Shouldn't Allow Cait to Hit You

When Morgana gives you her black shield, you can walk over Caitlyn traps and not get rooted, however the bonus damage is still dealt from the far away range. It should function the same way as Sivir shield or item 3102 shield - the damage should not be dealt since you do not get rooted. If you aren't getting "trapped" why are the effects the same as getting trapped?

Morgana should actually get a temporary power boost as she reverse engineers the cupcake recipe and makes her own superior cupcakes.

I totally agree with you that it makes sense thematically the way you describe it. However I think gameplay wise that's just too much of a counter if you could just deactivate several traps with that ability. You could also see it that way: Having caitlyn not getting the bonus damage from blackshielded enemies walking on her traps is like giving her damage to champions that are cc'ed by other sources - thematically Caitlyn should be able to headshot them just the same.

morgana black shield doesn't remove debuffs

it only allows you to be immune to ccs

Morgana Black Shield =/= Sivir E or item 3102

Those 2 actually prevent anything for the next skill that hits you while Morgana shield is a magic dmg shield + prevent CC.

And I'm not saying that the interaction between Cait traps and Black Shield is right and it's indeed weird, but don't try to equalize Sivir Shield or Banshee to Morgana's one because those are diferent.

Morgana E explicitly blocks ONLY cc, rather than being a full spell shield like Sivir E. Unlike spellshields, however, it can be casted on allies and it has no upper limit to the number of CC's it can absorb, providing it doesn't brake. It's one of the most powerful standalone abilities in the game, which is amazing, as Morgana also has a decent Q, W, Passive, and Ult.

Please don't ask Riot to pay attention to it, the ability is probably the strongest it will ever be allowed to be - if it gets changed, it will be a nerf.
