Is it better to just make a new account to reach Gold?

Now I'm not a bronze player, I've made Gold 5 three seasons in a row but lately I'm getting to the point that this season I am just getting lanes that are constantly feeding 5 kills nearly every single game before I can do a single rotation of jungle. I've tried being calm, relaxing, and doing what I can to play what the team needs and champs I'm good enough at that I can be there most of the time as unfortunately i'm not able to be in all lanes at the same time. I've as of yet not been able to have a single game in the last month where I could rely on a single lane. Not one. That's a horrible feeling to be in a team game and not being able to rely on anyone.

I've attempted to duo with some players, hoping they're somewhat decent and I get let down even harder than a fat kid watching a watching a Carl's Jr being built only to see it made into a 24 Hour Fitness. I feel at this point and as many games as I've put into the account this season that it's beyond tilted at 253 W and 278 L. I'm dropping more LP per game and gaining next to nothing when I do win. I know I'm better at this game than a Silver player but I can't be in all five roles at the same time.

I am TRYING my best to put some trust in the players I'm paired with but I feel with the season winding down soon it's just too late.

I don't have much faith that a new account would help. My advice? Play some normals until you kick the slump. Make sure you're up to speed on a patch that works well with your playstyle, preferably one where one of your comfort picks is strong.

A big part of this game is being able to adapt to the changing meta, and that includes playing less ranked when the patch doesn't suit you that well. Bowing out for awhile is a viable strategy if you're near your real skill level but can't quite reach the next tier. Just wait until it's your time.

My gut tells me that this is exactly the case with you; gold 5 and high silver frankly aren't that different, especially when you're considering that you finished gold 5 in the past and we're still mid-season currently. I doubt a new account would help much; I don't have much experience with smurfs and I'm not friends with many people who do, but I've never seen anyone say "and the whole problem was I just needed a smurf to break out of elo hell! Totally worked!"

If you're serious about it, just buckle down on a champ you like (and again, is strong atm) and keep grinding. I bet you'll make it.

starting a new account will get you placed in silver. so you might as well just stick with the one you have. Just keep playing and you will rise if indeed you belong above silver.
