Talon OP?

I know everyone said Talon got wrecked because he lost his silence on his E, but nothing's been done to mitigate his crazy damage.

The lack of his silence is, at least for me, more noticeable in laning than teamfights. When I tried Talon in the new Poro King mode (which is essentially a constant teamfight), I found myself doing really well. He still chunks entire teams at a time and his burst is still great. I've already gotten two Talon pentas today, and I've been playing him every single Poro game. Out of the nine games I played with Talon, I've only lost two or three and got a bad score on one.

Even in SR though, I've been doing reasonably well with him. If anything, I think the lack of his E gives him a nice balance, where you aren't super OP but you can still get really fed if you play him right. Idk if it's just because I'm low elo and my opponents are idiots, but tbh I still think Talon is pretty strong.

he used to be op. hes a minor problem now. if the enemy talon is really fed, purchase a bt for the shield and you might need your team to watch out for him. if he cant go in on you with his e, he will have to waste his ulti which is a big part of his burst. there you go.

I really love how you say he used to be op. Let's see, he never had any sustain, no safe poke (looking at Zed and Syndra), uses mana, has no reliable escape, no shield, and his damage pre-6 is very mediocre compared to Zed and Yasuo and Leblanc....the list goes on. The only thing good about him was that while he lacks a lot, he could not be brainlessly countered like Zed. While his silence does make counterplay hard, you could ALWAYS at least dodge the second part of his W and R with Zhonyas because his spells have animation. While his burst is insane once he gets strong, you can render him useless for at least 35 mins with a few good ganks. While be can make great picks, you can always just call MIA and ward...I honestly never saw the OP in him, and with Riot's attitude toward him, prolly never will.

if he ulted on the adc late game, adn then pressed e and q.. the adc was already dead, there was nothing to dodge. shut your mouth ty.

its not.. but lb got her silence removed and fizz is still broken as ever. besides, ap carries always get the advantage over ads. he mentioned zed. zeds counter was a qss and his ulti was useless.

If he ulted as initiation he has no escape, the best that can happen is a 1 for 1.

If Talon ults before going in he loses half of his ults damage. He would need to use at least his E Q W and maybe an auto attack or 2. during which time you could be peeled off. Also GA pretty much signs your death certificate and you had no escape going into this so there are a lot more ways for you to die while not accomplishing your goal then there are ways for you to kill them.

He's strong on the new mode, because his main issue is his lack of utility and mobility. The nerf removed most of his utility, not his damage. On the new mode the poro launching mechanic practically gives him a leesin q, which eliminates his biggest weakness since the nerf. He's not weak, but compared to other assassins he is a much worse choice atm.

Nerfing his cut-throat was a bad choice by riot, because it made him one-dimensional. You used to have to choose which target to silence and when to do it. Now, his play-style is always jump on the squishies and hope you have enough damage to kill them.

"..hope you have enough damage to kill them." If you're not a bruiser or a tank then you're dead as soon as he shows up. He has the fastest 100 to 0 in the game. GG if you don't have Zhonyas

Talon lane phase did take a hard hit but from my experience as playing talon you should just focus more on roaming and picking off kills then actually laning. Talon damage is powerful once ahead . Don't try to focus on laning because most mid laners are good at keeping some kind of distance then returning damage back and they can do this because of talon not having his silence but he can still bring death just not as easily.

I also think talon should get some kind of real effect to his e because talon's w is already a slow so the one the e provides is really worthless.
