Keybinding Combinations

As in my time of playing this game, I've noticed that it is easier to use the button combination (Crtl + (QWER)) to level up abilities while in the middle of a fight. But I have one issue with this: The location of Crtl. It's hard for me to actually use that button due to the shape of my keyboard, to which I have to do this strange hand leaning trick. And when I do use that trick, it feels difficult to press the ability key that I want to level up. When I go to keybind a different method, I've noticed that you can't keybind certain combinations (like Space + Q), while you can do it to others (like Shift + Q). This makes me kind of frustrated, since that (the undoable combination) prevents me from making my experience a little more enjoyable.
