how does 
w healing give her over sustain. if anybody has to much its 
. he doesn't take mana and can start to have outrageous regen mid fight. at least 
passive lets him regen after he has not taken dmg for a amount of time

kindred has more going for her than sustain.
it also contributes to her early duelling abilities. one of the problems of the champion was, that she could pull a lee sin on you. walk straight into your jungle at lvl 2 and kill you or at least force a flash and put you behind, because her auto attack resets with her q inside her w zone and her sustain all stacked on top of each other made her ridiculously strong.
no sustain anymore, have you seen the 6,13 patch?
