The original part with how the little girl came to visit Amumu and he accidentally killed her was published by riot and so far is my favorite of Amumu his lore stories so I made this as kind of more detailed version and how he actually made his way to the league.

Some say a vile sickness had overtaken Shurima. Others say that it was a blessing. Over time the true meaning of the being known as Amumu has been forgotten as even the mummy child does not remember himself. Back before Amumu became the mummy cursed to be forever sad and alone he was a prince of the once mighty kingdom of Shurima. Even as a prince though Amumu was still alone. He was put into quarantine at a young age due to a disease that had befallen the royal family. It would corrupt and kill the victims skin and flesh at such speed that it could easily be seen as a curse than just mere disease. Amumu wsiled wishing to be set free or at the very least have somebody he could be with in his time of need. This carried on for days for the sad prince. The only person he ever saw was the servants that brought him his food. Even then they wore so many layers that he could not make out any characteristics of the person and they would scream and run whenever he would get close. One day as Amumu laid in bed waiting for the terrible illness to overtake him he heard the door creak open. Amumu turned around as it was much too early for his next meal. Before him he say a small girl nearly the same age as him. Amumu stared as she wore no extra layers, no mask, and her face showed no fear but curiosity. Amumu got up and slowly approached the girl Slowly as if one would approach a animal as to not startle it and make it run away. "H-hello." Amumu said. The girl only replied "Hello young prince." as she continued examining Amumu's body seeing the patches of dark and corrupted flesh that covered his pale smooth skin. Amumu studied her as well. She had red hair and eyes the shade of emeralds. They simply observed each other Amumu amazed that somebody was willing to stay in the same room as him for so long and she saw before here was a child covered in bandages almost everywhere and eyes full of sadness and longing. Finally, Amumu broke the silence "W-why are you here.". "I could hear you crying through the walls. You sounded so lonely so I came to see you.". Just then they heard they sound of marching feet as the guards came to check on him. The girl started for the door but Amumu had to ask her before she left "what's your name.". She smiled and whispered "Ana" as she slipped out the door. After that Ana visited Amumu almost every day. She would tell him how the kingdom is doing and what news she heard about his family. She would often tell tales of her grandmother who had powerful magics. They would joke and laugh together. Amumu always careful not to get to close to her. Over time she became the thing Amumu wanted more than anything. She became his friend. Sadly though all good things must come to a end. It had been almost two weeks since Amumu first met Ana. She came to visit him as usual but instead of her sweet cheerful face it had been replaced with one of sadness. "what's wrong." Amumu asked. Amumu had never seen Ana sad before and his mind raced with reasons why. Maybe somebody had found out she was visiting him so she came so goodbye one last time, or something might have happened to her grandmother or "Amumu!" Ana cried. Amumu looked up startled being drawn back to reality from the depths of his thoughts. "Amumu its. Amumu it's your brother. Last night he died.". Amumu stood there in disbelief. He knew that him and his family would surely die from the illness but he never imagined he would be the last one. Ana sat beside him it was the closest she had ever been to him and even though they had not touched she could feel her throat getting sore and having trouble breathing as if death itself was holding onto it. "Amumu you are now the ruler Shurima." she wheezed. Amumu just sat there trying to process everything and without thinking he flung his arms around Ana hugging her as he started to cry. Ana sat there motionless as she felt the disease now spread to her. It was until Amumu could here her coughing and gasping for breath that he realized what he had done. He pushed himself off of Ana but it was to late. He saw her skin start to turn pail and the black as the corruption spread. "NO!" Amumu cried "NO NO NO! ANA I'M SORRY! ANA PLEASE SAY SOMETHING!". Guards came rushing in but it was to late. Ana's body was completely blackened from the corruption and her eyes that once shined like emeralds turned to a red and bloodshot. For Amumu the disease seemed like it enjoyed taking its time waiting until Amumu had nothing left and that also meant that it would take Ana. It spread throughout her body like wildfire and killed her in mere moments. The guards dragged Ana's body away making sure no bare skin touched hers. And that was it Amumu was left all alone again. The next day Amumu waited and hoped for Ana to walk through the door hoping it was all just a terrible nightmare. Amumu waited and waited. Finally realizing it wasn't a nightmare and that he killed his only friend. Amumu cried for what seemed like hours until the door opened. Amumu looked up joy in his eyes "ANA!" the disappointment and sadness returned as it was not Ana but an elderly woman. The woman entered the room with a stern look on her face and anger in her eyes. "LOOK ME IN THE EYES CHILD!". Amumu looked up her and saw such intense hatred and anger that he wanted to look away but he felt as if he couldn't. "You are the one who killed my grandchild. You are the one who killed my innocent Ana who's only desire was to make others happy, And for this I curse you. I curse so that you may never have anyone close to you and you shall stay on this world alone forever." Amumu felt his bandages grip tightly around his arms as they started to shine "These bandages you wear shall seek out those around you and pull you closer so that you may spread your terrible illness to them as well. These tears that you shed shall crash down and poison the ground around your feet and those who touch it. Your anger and self loathing shall force you to strike out and everyone around you." and with those finally words the woman disappeared leaving Amumu in even more despair and sorrow then before and as he started to cry he could see his tears cursing the ground turning it black like his corrupted flesh. He forced himself to stop and corruption there faded with time. Amumu hid under his covers for the rest of the day and by nightfall he like the rest of his, like Ana died. Amumu woke. He could not remember ever falling asleep. He tried to sit-up but he couldn't. Instead he head hit a hard cold surface. There was barely any room in this place just enough for Amumu to wiggle and move his arm. Amumu noticed another thing. He was covered in more bandages, not just the ones from to him felt like yesterday but all around his body and the clothes that he was wearing were fresh and look more like something a father would were or like what he saw on his grandfather when they buried him. That's when he realized what had happened. The guards must have thought he died last night while he was sleeping, but he wasn't. "Help" Amumu cried "I'm still alive. I'm not dead." but no one could hear him. Amumu felt like he couldn't breathe then he realized that he wasn't. He had not drawn a single breath since awakening. Then he remembers the curse "You shall stay alone on this world forever.". Amumu heard a thud as the guards but down his sarcophagus. He heard rocks sliding as the guards sealed the entrance leaving Amumu trapped in his tomb. Amumu raised his arms as much as he could and pushed with all his might and barely opened the sarcophagus enough for him to get out. And there Amumu stayed trapped for centuries alone and this time no one could hear his cries through the walls. Accepting his fate Amumu laid back in his coffin and went to sleep. Centuries passed on the surface with the sad mummy child sleeping down below. Amumu barely woke as he saw no point in trying to escape. Once he woke hear screams and the earth shaking violently as powerful forces battle each up above. He would later discover that what he heard was the destruction of shurima. Then once again Amumu woke to the earth shaking and earth falling around him. Terrible earthquake shook the land and by doing so destroyed the wall that trapped Amumu inside his ancient tomb, and for the first in what seemed like forever Amumu saw light. He reached for it then quickly pulled himself away remembering what happened to, "What was her name." Amumu thought. What was the name of the one person who showed him kindness. Amumu began crying again. After centuries of sleeping all he could remember was that he was cursed be alone forever. He cried and cried for days. He cried so loud that he did not hear the footsteps of the man that had discovered his tomb and came to see what treasure awaited inside. "Hello" the man called "are you lost child where are you.". The man saw Amumu and gasped dropping his torch and he heard a sizzling sound as it died in due to the thin layer of water on the ground from Amumu's tears. He began to notice pain in his feet and quickly got away from the tears. Amumu looked up at the man and reached for him. That was when Amumu remembered another part of the curse "These bandages you wear shall seek out and pull you to those around you so you may spread your terrible illness to them as well." but it was too late. A bandage from each wrist shot out from Amumu and wrapped themselves around the poor man's arm and Amumu was dragged to him forcing Amumu to spread the illness to him. Once it had been spread to him the bandages released him and wrapped themselves back around Amumu. The man screamed in pain as he ran out of the tomb. "I'm sorry." Amumu cried out to the man but he was gone. In fear others would come Amumu left his tomb and began wandering Runeterra in search of a place he could hide and not harm others. Amumu wandered for weeks eventually leaving Shurima. He traveled to many places making sure not to make contact with any living creature. On his travels Amumu was making his way through a forest where he was stopped by two strange creatures. Amumu bandages shot out at on but gracefully dodged and said "Hello child.". It had the appearance of a lamb but walked on its hind legs. Its fur was as white as snow and it carried a bow. Next to it looked like a floating head the shape of a wolf and behind it was looked like black mist as if to hide the body. Its fur was as dark as night but wore a mask almost as white as the lambs fur. "We are Kindred." the lamb said. "This one looks as if it about to run. That makes it mine little lamb." the wolf growled. "Hush dear wolf this child is already dead.". "W-wh-at do you want." Amumu asked unable to hide the fear. "Nothing child." the lamb began to say but Amumu could not contain his fear no longer and began to run. "This looks fun." the wolf laughed as it began to chase after him. The wolf easily matched Amumu's speed and bit into Amumu's shoulder. Amumu cried and let out a tantrum of movements that pushed the wolf even hurting it and continued running. Amumu continued running until he was out of the forest and all he heard behind him was the lamb's soothing voice "See you again soon little one." and with that they were gone. Amumu looked at the shoulder that was bitten but could see no mark or blood there. It was as if it never happened. Days later Amumu came upon a mountain. He climbed it with determination and the belief that this was where he could be alone. But the higher he climbed he began to hear a noise. The sound of swords clash and people cheering. Then he heard somebody call out the name Nasus. "Nasus!" Amumu thought "Is Nasus here.". Hearing the name of one Shurima's greatest legends Amumu started to climb faster. "If anyone can help me it's him.". When he got to the top he saw a great Colosseum. It had three different lanes divided by jungles and a river running through it all. He saw creature dressed in blue and purple clashed against one another in each of the lanes and he saw other people to, and there in the lane closest to Amumu he saw him. Nasus curator of sands one of Shurima's greatest legends. He was locked in combat with "Renekton!" Amumu thought "Why would the brothers be fighting. Just how much did I miss while I slept.". "Hello little one." a man said behind him. Amumu turned around startled and started to fall in. The man reached out and caught him before he did. "No!" Amumu cried "Why did you touch me now you shall die as well.". The man simply laughed and Amumu looked at him. He saw no signs of the corruption anywhere on him." But but how." "How are you unaffected.". "Its simple child this here is the League of Legends. Here yes people get injured but nobody ever actually dies. We use our magic to make sure of that, but yes anywhere else and I would probably be dead already. We use this power and have people battle here instead of wars so that all the unecessary killing does not have to take place and we don't almost destroy all of Runeterra like in the last Rune war." said the man. "You mean I won't kill anyone here." asked Amumu. "That's correct.". "Would it be okay if I stayed.". "Well of course here let me introduce you to someone I think you'll like.". The man leads the way to a large building where Amumu saw wizards everywhere. "Annie." the man called out "Come here I have a new friend for you to play with. A small girl the same size as Amumu skipped over to them. "Yes head master." the girl said. She had red hair and eyes the shade of emeralds. She also carried a stuffed bear. Amumu felt as if he had seen her before but he could not remember where. Amumu stayed at the League partly because of his new companion Annie and partly because he was sure here he would no longer have to worry about hurting people like the man in his tomb or his first friend if only he could remember who it was.
