Possible item change suggestions

Now i'm not entirely sure where on the boards i should be posting this so i'm hoping here is okay.

This post is mainly to discuss item change suggestions surrounding stinger item 3101 I just saw the (possible) triforce update on the PBE and personally dont feel that its a necessary change. (not that my opinion matters much being a low gold player) but I think Ron Pitts post describes my opinion on the triforce change

Total price reduced to 3600 3733 from 3800 (price raised in the PBE update that followed) Attack speed increased to 40% from 15% Cooldown reduction increased to 20% from 10% Critical Strike Chance reduced to 0 from 20%

What is the goal with these changes? Maybe I just don't know better, but it seems like the only people who are going to benefit from this are Irelia and Jax as they like to build Triforce but still auto attack a lot. Most other Triforce builders don't play like this however. Corki, Gangplank, and Yasuo all lose out with the removal of crit. To a lesser extent, champions like Nasus, the occasional Rengar, and other champs who build it primarily for the spellblade proc also lose out because they don't really need the attack speed but critting 20% of the time can be huge. Not to mention in Nasus's case it throws his current build out of whack because now it'll give him too much CDR where he had exactly 40% before with Triforce, Frozen Heart and Spirit Visage Besides, isn't the point of Triforce (besides the spellblade passive) to give a little bit of everything**_? It gives as much attack speed as Runaan's Hurricane now.

_*edit: it bugged when i originally copied this post and now i can't find the original to link it, sorry * _

However i do feel that there needs to be more build paths for stinger and so here are my suggestions.

Phantom Dancer item 3046 : stinger item 3101 (1200) + zeal item 3086 (1300) + 300 = 2800 total

  • 65% attack speed
  • 5% move speed
  • 10% CDR
  • 20% crit chance
  • UNIQUE – SPECTRAL WALTZ: Grants summoner 6 ghosting and +7% movement speed while within 500 units of a visible enemy champion.
  • UNIQUE – LAMENT: Grants 3% damage reduction on hit against the last enemy champion hit (ends after 10 seconds out-of-combat ; stacks up to 4 times).

I believe this would be a good change to Phantom Dancer because it is supposed to be the "go to" zeal item for attack speed. 20% attack speed and 10% CDR would be a big buff but in exchange i suggest a nerf on the crit chance, lament passive and the overall cost of the item.

Wit's End item 3091 : stinger item 3101 (1200) + negatron cloakitem 1057 (720) + 680 = 2600

  • 40 magic resist
  • 50% attack speed
  • 10% CDR
  • UNIQUE: +40 on-hit magic damage
  • UNIQUE: Basic attacks (on-hit) grant +5 magic resistance and reduce the target's magic resistance by 5 for 5 seconds. Stacks up to 5 times for a total of +25 magic resistance and 25 magic resistance reduction.

I believe this would be a good change to Wit's End as it is currently a niche item and doesn't get to see much play. This would hopefully bring it back into balance with a small attack speed buff and the addition of CDR. Additionally, the current Wit's End's build path feels awful until you finish the item. The components feel weak and the combine cost is MASSIVE so you sit on the components for a long time. Now i understand that the on hit passive is supposed to come from the recurve bow item 1043 but i feel that recurve bow already has enough build paths and this post is to suggest new ones for stinger and the on hit is IMO core to Wit's End (Nashor's Tooth item 3115 has a similar passive so...).

Just a reminder that these are only suggestions and i'd love to hear feedback on them. Thanks for checking out my post!

You initially said you weren't sure where to place this. There are 2 ways to organize a post like this. As you are talking about theoretical adjustments to currently existing items the Gameplay board is correct. However the argument could easily be made that because you are creating "new" items and/or concepting serious changes to them then this post could belong in Concepts and Creations.

Hope this helps you figure out what ideas should go where.
