Honestly, this happens everytime, you get that troll that makes you either waste 20 min in a game you won't win, or forces you to dodge. It sucks that you can't report a player when you have to dodge because he trolls.
I've never dodged (in 800 normals and 1200 arams) a game because of a champion or role that someone else picked. If you get a troll in champ select then pick a troll champ yourself. Oh someone wants to go Heim ADC? Well go roaming AD Galio support. Sure you'll lose, but its just a game. You dodging, or letting the trolling bother you is "feeding the trolls." We don't' do that shit around here.
100% agree. There is no system in place. Worse if you do stomach the bs champ select just to ff20 there is no "Trolling" option. Which is the number one reason I report.

I also think that someone in their promos should get 1 or 2 free dodges with no penalty other than having to wait (that way you at least get matched with new people for sure). and imo, they should add the option to kick a player from champ select in ranked if you have the majority vote.
agreed. I get penalized all the time for not being willing to subject myself to a match where they want to 5 man mid or break the meta in a way that is just play asking for a concussion

This player shows unsportsmanlike conduct, sexually harassing team-mates, intentionally banning team-mate's pre-picks, generally being completely disrespectful to everyone immediately. Does not follow the summoner's code, and is the type of person who really ruins matches for all others involved.

I agree with you 100%. I just had to dodge a ranked game because someone got upset that they weren't getting mid. So they proceeded to tell that team terrible things. All of us said that we would report them after the game. Which only intensified the rage of the midorfeedian. I was hoping they would dodge the game, but they didn't so I decided that losing a few lp would be better than playing with this person. I am in bronze 5 so the loss of LP didn't bother me. I can't go any lower. hahaha. The only thing that sucks is that I had to wait 28 minutes before I could start another game. I know this is first world league problems, but it is a bummer and I do wish that there were a better way to avoid the trolls. I would rather dodge a game and not play for 28 min then deal with some troll. Sooooo......maybe if there was an option to dodge penalty free that would be better. I know it would get abused though. What if it were like rerolls in ARAM though? You only get 2 chances to dodge penalty free then if you dodge after that you get the 28 min halt.
We should be able to report players right in champion select at least in the ranked game mode. This would be an additional report that would compound the standard one after the game.
We should also be able to vote kick players on champ select. Probably 3 players consenting to kick one other should be enough. This should probably not incur any kind of penalty on that player, but a system should be in place to ensure he will not get queued up with you again in, like, 10 minutes.

I don't see how reporting in champ select is going to be any different than reporting them after the game. Oh, and if it has anything to do with pre-game chat I got some bad news for you, but there is no tribunal anymore and not even in-game chat is looked at (except occasionally by Riot in permaban cases). And even if chat still mattered, trolls in champ select would just troll pick and not talk. Then what? Will you run to the forum to demand Riot start banning non-meta picks?
Bit of an older thread but I agree 100%. Too many times in normals I had called a role first and locked in a champ then turns out everyone wanted say jg, and they locked in so I dodge so I don't have to have 3 other jg on the team. This happens mostly for mid and jg. We need to be able to report auto lockers and trolls BEFORE the game starts. Not fair when someone takes one for the team and ends up not getting to play a game for an hour because they did the right thing to avoid flamers and trolls. I can understand people trying champs in different places to see how they work. But its a whole another thing when you have everyone on the team wanting one role/flamers cursing someone out for choosing something new and original. Recently I had a lee sin support and he did great.

i can agree with this i just was in champ select with some guy named dark royce and i had bot lane and he just said im going adc you are going to support me (i was draven) and not too long ago i played with a troll shyvana jg that didnt take smite said no ganks and said hed run it down mid if we didnt leash him krugs red and raptors... i was in my promos at the time and no one dodged so i lossed my promos. i have the chat copied down if you guys need proof just give us an option so this doesnt happen to anyone else or so we can decrease the chances of anyone else getting trolls
They are working on that. Once they get lobby and post game stats chats on Tribunal up then this will be resolved (hopefully).
My major issue is say a Soraka playing as our adc no I'm not even fucking kidding you I get this kind of shit all the time I should be able to dodge and report this player for doing this shit. His excuse it's normals it doesn't matter! Like I give a fuck I'm rusty trying to clean out the cob webs before my next match, please don't do this. Because then I'm forced to play a match for 20 minutes before my team finally might realize that yeah bad pick! Or possibly have to wait longer because my team thinks it's funny! It's like fuck me this is bullshit give us 1 free dodge a day riot, and let us report somebody during champion select, please! There needs to be some kind of penalty for trolls their needs to be a penalty for it. If it gets abused than yeah you have the power to ignore it or not do anything about it! You know how often I see right now people say report me I don't give a fuck, your current system is not working. One of the downsides of this game being free to play is you have these type of assholes that just want to ruin somebody's day on purpose! And they're casual gamers, there are people out there that purposefully abuse certain things in games and try to break it because that's what's fun to them!
Never feed your trolls after midnight. And don't forget to have your trolls spayed or neutered. Tis just a game. If you want to make it to the top you need to have a team of reliable people...

why is it promos are such toxic chat and steamroll skillwise in game? everytime i get to one its either a landslide for my team or the other..makes u question it when other games nonpromo's seem to be pretty equal minus the trolls/people who just wont listen to reason (free trinket ward? nah imma just splitpush in the same spot i got caught out like 6x)
Isn't dodging punished by Leavebot now? Isn't that worse then losing a little bit? Even if it was ranked I wouldn't risk a ban. That's counter-intuitive.

Yeah... last time I played in the evening I ended up with a 30 minute waiting period because I kept getting people who were high out of their minds and picked champs they had no idea how to play. Better yet, we should get a free one once in a while, because there are a lot of games you're just better off leaving than enduring 20 minutes of trolling and losing 15 lp.
Just because something isn't meta doesn't make it report worthy, and there should never be a system in the game which reinforces such thinking. It's unhealthy for the game as a whole. If the person is actually playing the game and trying to help the team win then get the hell over it if they aren't a meta pick and doing well. Which actually brings up a good point. I don't understand why people seem to think that the first time they see something out of the meta, they assume that it must have a 100% win rate, or else it's complete shit. It's not like playing 
mid guarantees a 100% win rate, so why the fuck do people get more angry when i'm 1/2/0 AP 
mid, but not as much when i'm 0/2/0 ? Like just because they don't normally see it means that it's required to be 10 times more powerful than the norm or else it's not worth doing. What if it's equally strong, but people just don't play it because it's not popular?
I'm so sick of people acting like there is a "right" and "wrong" way to play this game. If people would stop thinking that way, then the game might not be turning into shit. It's the same thing that happened in wow, everyone gets angry at people for playing the "wrong" way so the devs start to support the "right" way, and the game becomes bland and boring. The the game reaches a tipping point where every small unfavorable change the game cause a very large number of players to stop playing, and abandon the game.
I'm actually impressed that more people didn't stop playing with the massive jungle changes which from what i've seen the majority of the community dislike.
If they were to ever implement something like this then i'd better be the exact same as reporting an unskilled player, because frankly someone who doesn't play the meta is no more fault than someone who genuinely bad at the game.
20 min games? No way, there's always one other person including the troll that believe you have a chance at beating the hyper fed enemy team. I'd say 30 minute bleed out more like. Meanwhile you just sit there... safely farming because you don't want to be reported for afk.
I agree so much, sometimes I dodge trolls so much that I have to wait 15 mins.

Yeah, it'd be nice to have a place to report these types of people. Sure Riot has been trying to get the trolls in game but they are forgetting the ones before it even begins. Some people feel as though if they do not get the role they want, they can just troll pick something stupid and let someone else dodge. These people are just as bad as those who troll in game in my opinion. To make things worse, these people may act like the nicest of people in game when they get what they want, so they won't ever get banned.
I was pretty happy to win 3 games in a row and get to 61 lp in G1. Had to dodge 3 games in a row because of similar instances. I was lucky enough to play ranked for the first time in 2-3 months because of bad internet, I do not know when I will get this stable internet to try to climb again.... The first step in fixing a problem is realizing that there is one, people in Riot probably won't see this post but maybe someone will read it and can spread the message.
What he's talking about, It's not trolling, it's griefing. I've spent a long time thinking about just this. I see a lot of people just promising they will do their worst to ruin your game. And, very often they do. Or, they cause someone else to be penalized for dodging.
There should be a champ select screen report option and the chat should be logged. Specially cause you cannot report someone after the game when someone dodges as a result.
