If Riot hates snowballers, why do they not do anything about mejai's soulstealer and Sword of the Occult? Katarina Akali

Mejai's and Occult aren't even relevant to the discussion.

LoL is naturally a snowball game: you can't lose gold, champion abilities scale with items, and so on.

Kat and Akali have reset mechanics that make them really really broken as snowballers.

Kats reset mechanic is the only thing really left in the game I'd call an out of control snowball.

The reason? Everything she does is instant, if she starts to snowball you're dead before you can finish a casting animation.

As for getting rid of the snowball items, well, it'd make low level games a little easier on newbs without people having access to them at least.

Riot is okay with people snowballing, they just don't like a match determined by which mid lane assassin gets the first kill. =/

As for Mejai's and Occult, well if your opponent wastes the money on those items, either they are smurfing and the item is just cheese, or they are stupid and about to feed hard. The items aren't really viable, on anyone, ever.

Not true. These items are excellent for snowball champs. These items are even used in worlds. Supports like Sona and Janna can get ridiculous benefit off of these items.

I really dont understand you logic behind "People buying this items are about to feed", because the item is designed to punish you for dying?

But for someone like Kat or Akali, they simply delay what the two champs need. Akali needs Gunblade ASAP, and Kat typically goes DFG or Zhonya's first item, rushing these items (which don't become cost efficient and are simply a burden until you gain three stacks) delays you. The only reason to build them is pretty much to slap your opponent in the face by saying you have already won lane. It can help a snowballing champ snowball harder, but to start the ball rolling, no, these items won't help there.

That's part of it, look at the cost efficiency of the items, it's horribly inefficient until you have some kills under your belt. And dying even once costs you a sizable chunk of stats. It's simply not efficient.

we need to remove resets.

There's no reason why Katarina should be rewarded as much as she is right now.

It takes way more effort for you to counter her than for her to be effective.

Removing these items would be unnecessary. Kat and Akali don't even need these items to go their snowballing rampages once they get fed because they have built-in resets which allow them to begin their murder sprees.

Every season has had snowball, the game's design is kind of built on it. The issue is when specific champs are way too good at it.

No bring back Leviathan.

Mejais and Occult can't really be considered snowball items because even fully stacked, their marginal value is still worse than most 3rd tier items for mages and marksmen. They're not win-more items so much as buying them causes you to lose and killing people with them causes you to lose-less.
